Gold Value in Skyrim

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 3:39 am

Gold value in Skyrim is ridiculous sometimes. Now I understand the speech skills increase the value of my own goods and what not. But I find it almost ridiculous that I:

But a pair of boots for 60 gold

If I tried to sell it someone else or the same person they want to give me 6 gold for the boots that I paid for 60 gold

That isn't half the amount I paid for.

Just like trying to offload something you bought in real life. You won't get a pittance what you paid for it unless you're really slick.

In this game spells are really expensive. I need all the gold I can get. I like how people complain about how much gold they have. But for me I have so little because I'm buying spells with no resale value.

Shoot 10 gold is better for a 60 gold pair of boots over 6.

Yeah. The ratio is BEYOND [censored] if you ask me. But the transmute skill is the essence of trolling:

- Mine Ore
- Use transmute
- ??????
- Profit by selling golden ores/ingots.

No!

First you make the ingots into rings, enchant them, and -then- you sell them.

And power level your smithing and screw up your levelling. Didn't think so, friend. I intentionally ignored it and ended up with 10,000+ Septims and still had to visit the Greybeards

Also:
Mind you that little guy could easily slit your throat and take all your goods...
OR
That little guy has a HUGE Axe, and Just took on a whole boat load of Bandits SOLO...so if you piss off this "Little Guy" you might get his "Little Boot" in your ass because you want to sell a piece of out-dated armor at full price but only want to pay me change for it...

:3 Just a thought shop-keeps...

Player: *twitch*
Shop-keep: "You ok?"

Actually I love the current prices since gold already is easy to acquire and one of the biggest money sinks in previous games has been removed from Skyrim. Want to be taxed for having a house in a hold as well but that's me.

I'm not really slick and I find it easy to turn a profit on certain things as long as they have real value to the buyer. Economics is not a difficult science to comprehend...

As said spells are kind of expensive. I don't always have as much money as people do.
