Not sure why, either. The file contains all of THREE simply items. Crashes me when I try to equip it.
I went in and removed the "glow" BMP tex/mesh thing, because I have a NoGlo mod and thought it conflicted? Same thing happens.

I have to ask if you crashed while trying to equip Goldbrand before adding the meshes and texture because this seems highly unlikely. I would look at any other mod that may mess with Goldbrand before looking at this one. This is just a simple replacer and doesnt even have a .esp file, so crashing isnt likely unless you perhaps somehow got a corrupted mesh or texture, which is also highly unlikely.

This is where it needs to be , unless you have installed Morrowind elsewhere in which case you will need to change the file path using Nifskope.
