Golden Dawn Discussion thread 2

lets have them use large bolt throwers ok. they will be made of the same golden metal all dwemer weapons and armor are made of.

EDIT: the ballista adds more to the RP fun they will be further away from seyda neen and must be destroyed or else they will just take us all down with many well aimed bolts.

I think they should be made of Wood and metal, a solid metal Ballista would way tons and be extremely hard to move. One with a wooden from and metal mechanical parts would be much lighter and more practical. They could possibly even have automatic steam operated reloading systems?

Ahhhh! Typos, bane of my existence! I'm sorry, man.

And why are there ballista? I thought Seyda Neen was just a small port. Am I missing something, or are the Dwemer just big fans of overkill?

and because i said so! also because in game there was not a war going on the village was a syou could see not have good defenses. how ever they did not know seyda neen was even there the bolt throwers are for just incase. lmao i dont need to explain the minds of the NPC!!! :celebration: jk

but honestly the dwemer have not been around for thousands of years so they dont know what they will find so they brought with them two ballista bolt throwers to be exact simple but effective against defenses and human targets. they are not huge but could defeat a small army like ours if they are not stopped because well shields will not stop the bolts shot form these bad boys. it also gives us two targets that must be destroyed so it adds to the RP battle. they will not be heavily protected as they only have one guard and the firing crew that consists of three dwemer so four dwemer to each bolt thrower. the longer they stay up the more people will get killed!

Hey guys question for my post. Do the Dwemer speak Deadric, or another common language or do they just speak their Dwemer tongue?

edit: not that Deadric is common, lol

Telvanni mages know Daedric and I would assume some Mages guild mages do too, plus the some of the Conjuration scrolls are in Deadric. Don't you remember the quest where you had to take the coded message to Fyr. It was from Aryon and the entire message was wrote in Deadric. I can't remember the quest. I will check my Morrowind Prophecies and edit the quest.

I am checking lore now, I wanted to know if we could communicate with the Dwemer. I have found the quest I mentioned the shows the Telvanni are taught Daedric, it is from Mouth Galos Mathendis. It is is first quest called Fyr Message. It feels to me that anyone could learn to speak Daedric. I think it would rest what we agree on for the RP for what languages are spoken.

It's kinda like Latin in the modern world, people can know it and speak it but it's practically a dead language. Daedric is only spoken as a primary language by the Daedra, the Dwemer have their own form of writing and language, thats why so little is known about them.
