» Thu May 03, 2012 11:56 am After seeing my father slaughtered in front of my own eyes I decided it was time for me to become a man and get revenge on those Thalmor scum. I said my goodbyes to my mother, and told my brother to watch over her, then I set off for Skyrim to help get rid of the Thalmor, and pay back the empire for disgracing us by signing the treaty.
As I crossed the border from my homeland of Hammerfell, where I had lived all of my life, I saw a fight going on between soldiers from the empire and soldiers from the stormcloak rebels whom I had heard stories about. As much as I wanted to get involved and kill the traitors known as the empire, I was tired and did not fancy getting involved in the war in my first five minutes in Skyrim!
So, I decided I would carry on towards the city of Whiterun. I took about 30 paces forward before I felt a sharp object pressed against my back, I knew only to well that this was a sword I could feel the cold steel against my skin and I knew the feeling well. The man wielding the sword growled something along the lines of "Don't move." I stood still for a moment weighing out my options before swinging around and letting my fist fly into the soldiers face, he fell, I picked up his sword and directed it through his chest without a second thought.
Two more soldiers had spotted me and both of them came sprinting at me, I grasped the sword tightly and waited in anticipation for the soldiers to reach me. When they got close enough to me I swung my sword which was deflected by one of the soldiers we exchanged blows until I stabbed one of them through a gap in his armour and heard him yell in pain, as soon as I pulled the sword out of the first soldiers body I swung my self round at a 360 degree angle and decapitated the second soldier.
The battle went on for a good ten minutes there was blood, bodies and battle cries all around, it was only when the man who I could only assume was the leader of the rebels told his men to stand down that the battle ended. Then the stormcloaks were tied up and thrown into a cart by a few of the imperial men. When all the stormcloaks were loaded into the cart, an imperial tried to grab me, I killed him, just then about seven of them all grabbed me at once and threw me into the cart and spat on me, I was so angry but I could not do anything,
The cart continued on to what I thought was going to be Whiterun but we stopped at a local town named Helgen. There was a chopping block, they were going to kill us in front of all the locals for them all to watch and sneer as we were murdered without a fair fight by these cowards. One of the men who was now being held prisoner tried to run but he was shot down by the surrounding archers in about five seconds. Then another one of the men was called to the block, and decapitated. Next they called me over, I just stood their I wasn't going to willingly walk over and be killed, they grabbed me and through my down face first into the dirt then dragged me so my head was on the chopping block. As I lay there with my head on the block I prayed to the nine for some sort of saviour, we heard a roar then a dragon landed and started causing mass chaos.
I was alive, for now. I fell unconscious. When I woke up a couple of minutes later one of the stormcloak men helped me up and told me to follow him, so I did. We ended up going through the keep, killing imperial soldiers along the way. We reached the end of the tunnel, at last we were free once more.
