Okay, I'm on my first playthrough level 20 and I'm having trouble finding some decent armor. I was trying to get power armor, but I've done so much for the BoS and it seems like I need to get accepted into it to get trained.

I also wanted an alternative to power armor because I don't want to get shot at by the NCR everytime I have it on.

So, any suggestions?

Reinforced Combat Armor Mk 2 from the Gun Runners next to Vegas.

Or you can try Renments Power Armor from For Auld Lang Syne

Reinforced combat armor MkII is a pretty good substitute. It's not as effective as PA, but still quite sufficient for the late game.

Also, finish Arcades quest the right way and you'll get the Gannon Family Tesla Armor (iirc it has no factions attached to it).

I'm not sure who or what "Auld Lang Syne" or "Arcades" are, but I'm sure I'll find out sooner or later. Thanks for the replies

You could also go to The Devil's Throat. It has Combat armor, reinforced and about Arcade's quest you also get the Enclave Armor as well and plus PA training.
