I don't want shades of black and white, everything needs to stay as grey as possible.

There no such thing as good and evil, but my character will be acting on his own needs and not on others'

My first character will be a do-gooder type of person, after that I will switch it up a bit.

I don't really believe things are as black and white as good and evil. My recurring characters all have a grayscale back story, and their actions are portrayed accordingly.

I hate playing as a bad guy, except in Dungeon Keeper and Evil Genius.

Who says murdering entire villages is evil? One mans murder is another man's sainthood. I usually don't go around slaughtering everyone in sight with my characters. I usually do that once I have finished all the game content and I have nothing else to do. I'll run around killing everyone and every guard that tries to stop me for an our or so then get bored and make a new character lol. Don't get me wrong, I'll murder someone here or there say if they were rude to me when talking or they did something to my detriment (like the guy who you catch trying to give you a fake drop note in Anvil.), basically I get immersed into my character and if they do something to my character, then I'll kill them for it. Mainly my characters tend to be darker, shady characters who aren't evil or good but is only looking out for his own interests and often, trying to gain immortality and power.

I love to play characters that mean well and are very naive. They usually end up with the wrong people and [censored] everything up. XD

In D&D terms it's perhaps chaotic good... or even lawful... or neutral... or evil... Heck, I dont know. ;)

DnD alignments have no place in TES. Shades of gray are superior.

I fight for myself and for others' coin to go in my pockets. Leave me to my studies or get out of my way.

Does serving my families god (Akatosh) constitute me as evil?

You know you're a nerd when you use D&D alignments :P

Anyway, my choice would be: MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!

Ok seriously I only picked that because it made laugh.
I usually have multiple characters, but one of them is always a goody goody and another always being outright evil caring only for him/herself.

Always a saint, always giving money or pure water to beggars, always getting Messiah or you've saved the Galactic Council, and yet always becoming both hard as nails and vastly rich in the process. Talk about sleeping soundly.

Haven't we all had a gut full of baby killer or jesus responses yet? The DND alignment system never worked and using good and evil just promotes shallow choices, forces the developers sense of morality on the player, prevents any deep decisions from being in the game and makes the player the most two dimensional character of all.

Do you really prefer the herp light blue answer, derp red answer system in Bioware games to the decisions that stop and make you think in games like the witcher or New Vegas.

Like all ES games, Im sure Skyrim will give players choice, which is not what this poll is about, which is personal choice and fun.

I dont see D&D alignments in the poll, do you?

I see them in every response to the poll. Keeping choice is good I don't want the devs to read these forums and think that their community like black and white morality (which fallout 3 slid into alot of the time) and increasingly rely on them instead of mapping out proper decisions.

I hope for no karma system (but a good reputation system) and a lot of gray morality in Skyrim.
