Good house spots?

Post » Wed Jun 16, 2010 9:02 am

I'm trying to think of a good spot to set up as my house/museum to show off all my sweet stuff, anyone know of any good locations? In F3 I used the place where The Mechanist lived.

What cool locations have you guys come across to showcase your loot?

:celebration: BoS safehouse is very good place to store youre loot. The free power armour and gatling laser and tesla cannon you get when you arrive are just a bonus

No, BOS Safehouse is terrible if you drop anything on the ground it just disappears.

Use the Abandoned BOS bunker from Dead Money instead.

I took over Victor's Shack in Goodsprings. The Ammunition box does not respawn.

Other than Lucky 38, for me Gibson's Shack is the easy answer, although it's fairy dreary inside. Yes there are some Deathclaws prowling a cave entrance nearby, but I was never harassed by them when I FTed to the shack on Normal. Later I cleared out the Deathclaws and at some point increased the game difficulty to Hard. Several game days went by and I FTed to the shack, and was attacked by Deathclaw re-spawns, presumably because their detection range increases with higher difficulty settings. So this is something to keep in mind with Gibson's, but other than that it is a good base. Many containers (inside and out) that don't respawn, a campfire, a reload bench, a tool bench, a bed, and two big tables inside for trophies. And it's central to the map. It's pretty obvious the devs put it there for this.
