Yes, awesome, for those of you who can play without constant freezes and crashes.

The only reason I downloaded this one was because they said the patch will fix all this and that was a flat out lie. This really stopped making sense to me, are we complete idiots? We continue to give away our money to a company that not only released a faulty product but keeps on liying and making money off of the same big scam?

Plus I don't remember any representative from Bethesda or obsidian EVER making a clear apology.

Please someone explain to me how this is ok, I just gave my money away for something that does not work and no one is going to give it back to me.

Nope .

What do you mean nope? Obsidian developed it, Bethesda almost had almost nothing to do with the writing and making of this DLC. Please do more research before you post, or better yet, look at the credits at the start of the game.

Well, did Bethesda or Obsidian say that and release the patch? Because I want to believe Bethesda since they seem...quite frankly, better, than Obsidian. If Obsidian is the one releasing [censored] patches and saying they actually do [censored], then that's just one more reason to like Bethesda more.

The only Bethesda did in this game was the QA, and publishing it.

Obsidian did the future patches, the writing, the map making, and virtually everything.

You MORON!!! BETHESDA HAD BARELY ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE GAME!!! OBSIDIAN HAD EVERYTHING TO DO WITH IT, YOU THINK BETHESDA MADE THE GAME!? LOOK UP THE GAME ON WIKIPEDIA!!! Wikipedia: Fallout: New Vegas is a role-playing video game in the Fallout series developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks.

My brain has to believe that this topic is a joke. Bethesda ONLY provided the engine. Obsidian did the main game, all the DLCs, all the patches and everything with New Vegas on it.

:stare:

And more to the point, Obsidian's Fallout as actually an RPG - not open world shooter with an inventory.

Do you not understand English?
Multiple people just wrote.
Obsidian MADE the game.
Bethesda did NOT MAKE the game.
Bethesda is currently the one MARKETING the game not making it.

Should I write in more simple *herp* Engrish *derp* for you?
Obsidian make this game. Bethesda no make this game.

this is from wikipedia .
Other notable series by Bethesda Softworks include The Elder Scrolls, the series of which Oblivion is the 9th title and the 4th main title. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are based on the same engine as Oblivion. so this would mean that the game is a Bethesda game they own the franchise and have since 07 .

i dont care what group they hired to write the plot and insert there ideas , in order to get back to the roots of the original storyline . So again , Good Job Bethesda!

Are Bioshock, Batman: Arkham Asylum, DC Universe Online, Tom Clancy's EndWar and Mass Effect 2 all Epic's games?
Because the Epic's Unreal engine runs all those games.

The engine is a programing tool. Nothing more. :meh:

/\ Exactly this.

It's idiots like you that make me want to jump of a bloody cliff.

Even the Gamebryo engine Bethesda has used for its to most recently released Elder Scrolls titles and Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas wasn't originally coded by them but by NDL, and after the improvements Obsidian made upon Fallout 3 I think people should give them a bit more credit for how much they did in 14 months of development.

You know what this means, don't you?

All hail Numerical Design Limited, the people responsible for creating Morrowind, Oblivion and FO3, for their contributions to the modern gaming pantheon! Don't know what the hell Bethesda had to do with those games. Bug testing maybe.

Revisionism or just the plain rewriting of reality is as de rigeur today as it's ever been.

My favorite thus far and I haven't even finished it yet every time I think I've got an idea of how its going to go and its so refreshing to be surprised see conventions turned upside down and get to meet these wonderfully deep characters in these amazing places, Obsidion does some damn fine work.

Why does it matter who made/published the game? They should both take responsibility for it, the publishers are the ones in charge of press release so they are as guilty of this as the makers

Lol at you!
Obsidian developed the game
Bethesda published the game.

It's kinda like saying a company that published a book created the book.

Isn't this the same guy who complained that Honest Hearts was only 30 minutes long? *checking*

..... yeah, it's him. Settle down people, it's more than obvious right now. :shifty:

What's even more funny is that only Bethesda Softworks was even remotely involved in the game(publishing and the crappy QA), not Bethesda Game Studios. Critical difference right there. :vaultboy:

In any case:

Good job Obsidian :foodndrink: .

Seconded. :goodjob:

So...good job for shelling a bit of dough. Completely ignoring the storyline, the new characters, and everything that makes New Vegas great (and closer to Fallout and Fallout 2 than Fallout 3 was). And just because New Vegas is using the same engine doesn't mean that Bethesda created New Vegas. Unless you're also saying that BioShock and Borderlands are owned by Epic because they used the Unreal engine.

Bethesda Softworks contracted Obsidian to make a Fallout game using the engine and assets Bethesda Game Studios made for Fallout 3. Obsidian still had full raign over engine tweaks they wanted to do, but they had to keep the game similar in style to Fallout 3.

Bethesda Softworks == Publisher
Bethesda Game Studios == Developer of the Elder Scrolls series and Fallout 3
Obsidian == Developer of Fallout New Vegas

If you try to refute this then you are a [censored] idiot.
