All in the title folks whats some of the best looking armor combinations out there, light or heavy.

Ebony boots, ebony gauntlets, ebony mail (daedric artifact) and the nightengale hood. It looks so sick mainly because of the black cowl over your face but that's basically all I use.

I like DB chest, Nightingale boots/gloves and TG hood. The DB hood works equally well. Honestly, I think combos of those three armors are the best looking in the game. The red + black is super nice.

Another nice one early on is leather armor, imperial boots/bracers and mage's hood. You look like a real traveler. It's better with an adept hood though (darker brown).

Female DB headpiece has a balaclava. It's not total covering though. Only partial, like a ninja.

Heavy armour:

Ebony mail
Ebony boots
Daedric gauntlets
Steel horned helmet

Light armour I do not mix and match because of my full set perk. I use the full Nightingale set.

Leather Boots

This makes my vampire archer look like a seasoned badass

If you have DG then red vamp armor with DB boots and gloves and then nozir's red hood I'm using this set right now and it looks pretty sweet. (switch to DB hood if you don't want to kill the DB like I did)

Imperial Armor + DB boots/gloves
Daedric boots/gloves + DB armor/hood
Daedric boots/gloves + master robe + masque of clavicus vile
Daedric Set + Masque of Clavicus Vile
Ebony Set + Masque of Clavicus vile
Nightingale set + Masque of Clavicus Vile
Savior's Hide + Wolf Boots/Gloves (they fit perfectly, except for the different tone of brown fur on the Savior's Hide, but the metallic design matches perfectly)
