Good mod list for replaying

All face texture mods affect NPCs if NPCs are of the race that the face texture is being used by. However, New Face Textures and Natural Faces would not do what you described...

Anyone know a mod that won't conflict with Weather - All Natural that would make nights darker?

Right now it's like midnight is about as dark as early evening.

Set darker nights in the AN.ini file. How in the world does everyone miss that? (It's not just you.) You can set any darker nights option you want.

The latest issue I'm having - mysterious attribute loss. I checked my stats/magic page and it doesn't look like anything should be lowering them but I know for certain my strength has been lowered. Maybe I should visit a shrine to double check. I'd think I'd be able to see any modifiers on my stat page though.

Also my DarNified settings aren't staying after I close the game. Every time I play they get reset.

Ah, thanks.

To retain your settings you need to make changes to one of DarN's .xml files.

Using a shrine did not remove my attribute loss.
It has to be either nGCD or OOO that's doing it I'm assuming.

Maybe certain changes only take effect after you level once? Because out the gate after character creation I had 40 strength and now I've got 36 or so at level 2.

Another thing I'm noticing is that using a bow uses no fatigue, while using any other weapon uses a fair amount.

To retain your settings you need to make changes to one of DarN's .xml files.

Thanks!

Changed the load order thinking maybe it would fix archery not using any fatigue, it failed and when I load my save my attributes are set to 1.

Edit : It only sets my attributes to 1 after I talk with the guard at kvatch. Game will slow down, I'll suddenly be overencumbered, and my attributes are all @ 1 except for luck.

Here's my load order if anyone can tell me how wrong it is -

Figured out/fixed the attribute issue.
Loading nGCD before OOO and having OOO toward the end according to a load order guide I read.

Only issue left is archery not using any fatigue, when OOO should be making it cost more than in vanilla.

Thanks, used BOSS.
However using a bow still is not affecting my fatigue. D:

Maybe I should reinstall OOO and cross my fingers?

Can you post your load order again, preferably via Wrye Bash but if you're not using it:

OBMM > Import/Export > View load order > Copy/Paste

Update OOO to http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1089759-relz-oscuros-oblivion-overhaul-133/ and definitely update http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10400 (don't forget the patch).

Can't see anything that should override OOO's fatigue cost for markmanship, though, so that's a bit weird.

Updated/patched to the betas, but shooting a bow still doesn't affect fatigue.

If I'm not mistaken, the fatigue loss only happens at the lowest skill level? Perhaps you have a skill of over 25? Or over 50? I forget the details...

If I remember right, you only lose fatigue using a bow if your marksman skill is below 25.

Hmm, I read in the OOO readme that marksmanship would use more fatigue IIRC, but perhaps it's only when <25 skill or something.

Well, here's what the readme says:

"Special attacks are less tiresome to use than in default Oblivion. This is a balance tweak because of the higher weight of some weapons, and helps you to keep up with the now deadlier combat gameplay. The range of weapons’ reach is a bit shorter than in default Oblivion – close quarters combat is the norm for melee players. This change encourages the use of the slower but stronger special attacks in melee.
Fatigue costs for ranged attacks are a bit higher, however. It was previously too easy to use bows and backwards‐running to avoid damage while peppering the enemies with arrows. The power of bows is higher, but their reload time slower. These changes help making Marksmanship a more tactical and involved combat skill."

You might want to ask in the OOO thread for clarification.

Had an issue with Weather - All Natural not taking effect in game.

Moved it in load order below OOO and it worked, except after the night getting darker and streamline activating, my view would change, my character falls over, and all my attributes are set to 1.

I find out there's an .ini tweak for streamline to fix a possible conflict with scripted weather mods, and so I fix that.

Same result when I load a save other than the save in which I'm in the sewers, which works fine.

Mods are tricky :brokencomputer:

That sounds like nGCD can't find its initialization files. Make sure you have a Data\_tejon\ folder which contains nGCD.ini and nGCDSkillSpread.ini.

Yeah all is in order there.

Yep am using the 0018 version.

I'm guessing I just messed up the save somehow, as new saves work fine.
