Good multiplayer games for Xbox 360?

Crysis 3 or Battlefield 3. Which should I buy?

Crysis 3 undeniably has a beat single-player experience than Battlefield 3, which I had was little more than an on-rails shooter at times because of how little the player really had to do and how a lot of scenes were quick-time events.

Battlefield 3 arguably has better multiplayer than Crysis 3 and, since I rarely beat single-player games unless they're really good, I was leaning towards buying that. However, I remember playing the Beta of the game. I don't know what it is about Frostbite 2, but both Battlefield and Medal of Honor really hurt my eyes. I'm not sure whether it is the contrast or what. Has anyone else noticed this?+

EDIT: I've decided against Battlefield 3, since the Frostbite 2 Engine is horrible in my opinion and makes it impossible to spot enemies as well as causing headaches and eyestrain for myself. Anyone recommend some good console games, preferably multiplayer?

I've never played the BF series but I've played the Crysis series. First of all, you are right about BF mp being better. Crysis mp died after C1. Period. What Crytek did to Crysis mp is a tragedy; they butchered it completely. As for C3 single player I found it to be more interesting and fun than C2. Although, the problem I've noticed is that both C2 and C3 has become a "one-time" play through. Once you beat it you don't feel like playing it again. Unlike C1, I replayed the main single player game many times. Maybe because it was bigger and more open ended than the claustrophobic vertical environments of C2 and to a lesser extent, C3.

All in all, even though I haven't played BF, I would rather play that than C3. Crysis has gone down in my book.

I actually didn't mind the multiplayer aspect, or at least what I played of it in EA's Beta, of Crysis 3. However, as you have agreed with me, Battlefield 3's multiplayer will undeniably be better. For modern military shooters, it is the main aspect of the game and I frankly wonder why they even bother with single-player games anymore. They should just pool more resources into delivering an even better multiplayer mode, which is all that most people play.

There are two things I'm concerned about with Battlefield 3. The reason it interested me over the likes of Call of Duty was the large maps with vehicles, destructible environments, and more players. But, unfortunately, it seems as though the console version that I would be buying is in fact really scaled down. So, for those of you who own it on consoles, I'd like to ask: how much?

I was going to immediately buy Battlefield 3 off the back, because the multiplayer is supposedly really fun. The concern I have with it is that in the Beta it caused my eyes to hurt and I got headaches. I don't know what it is about it. Medal of Honor has the same problem. I don't get motion sickness or have problems with other video games, unless I play for ridiculous lengths of course.

Usually when a game hurts my eyes or make me dizzy is when the FOV is too wide. I'm a pc player, btw.

The consoles have a locked FOV. But, because I'm sitting far away from a TV and not near like a monitor, FOV usually isn't a problem. Call of Duty and other FPS games had a low FOV and it never bothered me.

It's just Medal of Honor, Battlefield 3 and other games which use the Frostbite Engine. They all look too bright, too much contrast, and it almost looks too good that it's horrible.

EDIT: I've decided I'm not buying Battlefield 3. The graphics are horrible. They look good, but in a bad way. The enemies blend in too much with all the swirling dust and particle effects that I just get killed by stuff that I can't see. To me, that's just frustrating.

Than the problem is simple: you're Frostbitephobic. Possible solution: reduce some graphical effects:D See if that helps.

I've said this already, around twice, that I'm playing on consoles. There aren't tons of graphical options. I can maybe turn off the motion blur and adjust brightness, if that. There isn't an FOV slider, texture quality adjustment, etc.

Frostbite, I find, is a horrible, horrible engine for an FPS game. I love the raw gameplay of Battlefield 3, but Frostbite makes it unplayable for me. For starters, I'm not good at picking things out from a crowd, like those puzzles where you have to spot the odd one out, and Battlefield 3 relies on you doing just that. The graphics are too good. It's like real war, the soldiers in their camouflage just blend in and I end up dying from stuff I can't see. It's frustrating. The contrast is also really high and the lens flare is annoying, which makes me sick.

I hoped it would be toned down for the release, but YouTube videos show that it's still a problem. I can't play it.

Is Crysis 3 any good? I've been trying to find a new multiplayer game for the Xbox 360, that's good of course. Any suggestions?

Crysis 3 mp is terrible. In C1 mp you could have over 40 players, all kinds of vehicles. Now, only about 16 and no vehicles. C1 maps were big like the Mesa map. C3 maps are a convoluted gimmicky joke. It is so obnoxiously fast paced that you can't even stop and scratch your freaking nose. Insanity is the word I like to use to described the high paced action.

I don't have console so I can't recommend mp games, sorry.

Bad Company 2 is the best multiplayer shooter I've ever experienced.

I have Reach. I must admit that I totally forgot about Halo 4, but at the moment it's still rather expensive. I was hoping to pickup something a little older and, consequently, cheaper.

Red Dead Redemption. That Multiplayer is a lot of fun once you can start up a posse. Plus the single player is great.

Cooperative or competitive? A bit of both? Dark Souls. Though it may be a bit difficult.

Mass Effect 3's multiplayer was surprisingly good. The game itself was great as well.

I can't recommend Halo 4's multiplayer so my only other option is CoD Black Ops 2. I enjoy it, although I mostly play hardcoe Search and Destroy.

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition (MK9 + DLC chars/skins).

Original Rock Band 3 (NOT MadCatz) {Reason I'm saying this is so far, this is the only game I've actually manage to get my whole family to sit down and play with me; oh and I say original cause if you get MadCatz, you will be unable to use the 1,000+ free player-made content out there for Rock Band 3, which includes some G&R, a lot of Metallica, etc}.

Halo series are always good. I prefer Halo Reach mainly because Halo Reach kinda has Blood Gultch, requires some editing to make it more of the classic map and such though.
