The good news is that Sony finally released a confirmed date when PSN will be back up fully. Bad news is that the day is May 31st.....

It was planned to come up in stages. One of the first stages was online play, later came the PS Store, and so on. If by "fully" they mean all stages completed, we should be able to play online long before the thirty-first.

I see most people just saw may 31st and is like wow wth???

TBH may 31st is the end date where everything would be back up including ps store.

now we all knew that psn as a whole wouldnt be up towards the end of the month.

Online gaming could be up this week but who know's

Honestly at this point, I think PSN will be back up when ANON lets them put it back up.

We already knew this. Sony has been saying for a long time that all services will not be up until the end of May. However that does not mean that PSN won't be up until the 31st.

This is correct. Anon always takes credit for their work and they never came forward about this attack.

Sony is also scare of going online to soon and it they get hack right away. Knowing if that happen they will lose many users to their rival.

Meh Ive been following the PSN blog and I still don't believe anything that comes out of SONY's virtual mouth. They may have reported to GI that the whole network will be up by May 31 but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it wasn't. SONY has proven its unreliability in this situation (not telling us about the attack in the first place, giving nonsense and non-informative updates) and i am taking EVERYTHING that has to do with this occurance with a grain of salt. There has been so much speculation by "insiders" and SONY about dates that I dont believe any of it. Ill believe the PSN is back up when I boot up my PS3 up and don't see the "network under maintenance" or "error 807 blah blah blah" messages come up. Thank the gamer gods that Brink has SP and CoOp SP and that the XP transfers over to MP. Im dying to play Brink online but so it goes we will be there eventually.

itll be fine. but if the 31st is the fully back date, if were lucky well be playing brink online what, a week before that? lets hope they get it back in a week or so...

look on the bright side, i dont know about you guys but getting off ps3 hasnt necasarily been a bad thing for me. i mean at least they hacked during spring, so we can apreciate the weather

Also they could just be denying it due to the FBI getting involved.
