Good overhaul mod for vampirism?

What's a good mod for this? I've seen many in some lists, so I don't know which one to choose.

I recommend either http://www.4drulers.com/unholydarkness/ by Madmole or http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28926 by CDM.

Helps to know what features you're looking for or what you don't like about vanilla vampirism?

Most of the vampire overhauls out there reverse the vanilla experience by having you be stronger when you feed and then gradually get weaker. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36408 is a good example. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33767 offers an interesting twist on the idea. I haven't tried either of them, though. Personally I like the oblivion idea that you get stronger as you age. I use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27329, which keeps the vanilla idea of getting stronger the deeper you go into vampirism, but ties it to quests instead of a simple feeding timer. Also has some nice shapeshifting abilities.

On the flip side, if you just want more vampires in the world, or want to hunt them, I'm having a ball with this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30568 mod. You can't really go wrong with any of that author's mods.

Well here's some of the things you get in mine (link in signature):

Aging over time, gaining new powers and weaknesses
Dialogue and quests from vampire NPCs
Clans to join
A vampire hideout you can teleport to
The ability to sire humans as servants
Not looking like a vampire if you stay well fed
Being randomly attacked by vampires outside if you're not one yourself

Some of the powers:
Becoming a ghost
Transforming yourself into a flying monster
Making it rain to hide the sun
Teleporting
Various combat tricks (disappearing and reappearing behind an enemy to stab them in the back)

The idea isn't that far from the vanilla experience, but is more fleshed out and balanced. When you're well fed you can talk to people as normal and are physically strong. When you're hungry you can't talk to people (but you can hypnotize them so that you can), and grow physically weak up to the point where you can't use weapons, but you also grow mentally strong, can commune with vampires and undead, and gain powers like banishing enemies and floating through doors as mist.

Wow these mods are very elaborate. I'll have a look at them now and try to decide, thanks :)

Thanx mucho for the tip on the Brasher mod, dreamed1.

I too am a fan of his mods, but for some reason had never considered this one until now. It does indeed look to be a good one. :)

I'm a big fan of Peter and Alien Slof's Aundae mod 1.3. It comes with an OBSE extension to check your blood levels on the fly too.

Is there a mod that makes it so you get stronger as you age and as you feed? As you age your potential strength increases but you have to feed more to maintain that strength and also as you age the penalties for not feeding come faster and are worse.

PS. Also which mod has the most amount of story/quest content.

ThePostal's MOE: Clan Raelu has a few quests in it, but its chief perk is a vampire hideout, complete with clan members and thralls on which to feed.

Peter & Slof's Aundae 1.3 gives betters powers as you age and after you feed. Your dependency on blood decreases slightly as you get older. It does need to be loaded after The Lost Spires and Clan Raelu though.
