good performance driver for Nvidia

Post » Wed Oct 02, 2013 4:51 am

I update my drivers regularly but I've noticed by doing this I cant seem to get the performance that i use to get, I use mods but none that are very demanding on performance and my system can handle the game just fine. I also use the FPS limiter but don't notice much improvement I have it set at 2 render ahead limit and 30 fps limit. My laptop is also clean as far as dust and Heat isn't the issue if anyone knows of a good driver for skyrim then let me know I miss my smooth game play.

The newest nvidia drivers are flawless in terms of Skyrim performance. If you're noticing a performance loss it's best to test with Skyrim on a fresh game save with zero mods enabled (especially FPS limiters of any kind). The information you've given is kind of limited though, I'd provide more feedback but I just don't know what other changes you've made with the latest drivers aside from the FPS limiter. You also haven't really mentioned what kind of FPS you were experiencing on a good day (with older drivers) and what kind of FPS you're experiencing with the latest drivers.

P.S. - If you want to limit your FPS effectively, use nvidia inspector or something like MSI afterburner.

^ ^ ^ ^

THIS

You can set your Vsync to adaptive (so you don't lose to many frames below the 60 fps cap)

Why u use the fps limiter - you should try without the limiter (how much frames to you get without it ???)

Actually you should get around 43-46 fps with the I5 and the Gt555m at 1280x720

And force v-sync on in your GPU control panel if you don't want screen tearing. !!!
