Good place for Shaun?

I sent him to the depths of Hell, with the rest of the Institute. I watched the real Shaun die, I know the kid is fake, and I saw him before he got reprogrammed. Even one of the people in the Institute (I think Janet Thompson) said he would never grow up. So he and everyone around him would know he's a synth sooner or later, even if I wanted to raise him as a real son. Which I don't. I'd prefer to make peace with my real son's death than replace him with a robot.

If you still love him, I guess that's a good reason not to hang around the airship for too long. You'll probably have to build your own glorious house or settlement.

IIRC, there is dialogue referencing the fact that he wasn't the director earlier, and only recently found out about you.

exactly. its not like he knew the whole time that you were alive because he was not the director the entire 60 years.

To some it might have been a slap in the face but I see it differently. I see it as her real son giving her a choice to take something out of there with her. She found the institute looking for her son only to find him as a dying 60+year old man. Not the child she had dreamed of raising or hoped to find. At least with synth shaun she can have that again. She can teach him the real game of baseball, take him for walks. for all intents and purposes he is her son. he believes he is. And I would bet that all that living tissue over synth body parts is all from Shaun's real dna. It was a gift to her. She risked everything to find her real son, at least she has something.

but it sounds like you guys think the airship is not a good place for her to keep him. I guess I better go fix up a home for him somewhere safe.

You have the option of moving him to a new settlement just like any other settler. Since he's a kid though, you can't assign tasks to him or trade gear with him or anything like that. He'll occasionally start tending some crops. For the most part though he just has a coded area within each settlement that he just wanders around in. Note that if you talk to him and bring him the items he asks for, over time he'll build you something.

He usually just gives me a random assortment of weapon mods, but he can also give you the Wazer Wifle, which is just a Neverending Laser Rifle. Still pretty great though.

In Workshop mode you can just highlight him and you'll get the option to move him to any other settlement. He really does just kinda stand there, though...

Yeah, that stuff he gives you really isn't anything too worthwhile. The Wazer Wifle is cool...but...meh. I guess it's the thought that counts lol

It's good if you don't take all of the crafting perks. I've actually gotten some nice stuff from him.
