Good, well thought out melee builds?

Ive played a few others like agile gunslinger, smartguy and lucky sniper but ive never really tried a melee build. Since im familiar with the mechanics i thought id give a go at making my own;

S: 3

P: 1

E: 1

C: X (i used 5)

I: 8 (9 with the special book)

A: 9

L: 1

In an attempt to do an intelligent and slightly charismatic assasin.

I know the low str and end is unusual for a melee but they rely on stealth over brute strength. The crits and distance in the ninja and blitz perks should equal out ifnot be better than a brute charging in, ive been told.

Since power armour brings your str to 11 and gives DR bonus, if you ever needed to do some heavy hitting you could get in a decently furbished PA and go hog wild.

What do you think and what was your most effective melee build?

I started a melee/unarmed build going stealth, then I started a melee/unarmed build gunning for normal. Of those two experiences (both on the hardest difficulty), go for the latter and then factor stealth in later. Stealth IMO through gameplay is only useful when taken to a rather high level - you might get 1 kill from it but otherwise the rest of the room will still be out to get you.

Personally, I went for enough PE after the bobblehead to start levelling up Lockpicking, enough INT for Hacking, enough AG after the bobblehead to get Blitz, enough EN to get Cannibal (entirely optional, however pretty damn useful on the hard difficulties as the health recovery is instant and it saves massively on Stimpaks) and then the rest into strength. Perks go into the unarmed one/the melee one and the relevant hacking/lockpicking ones so I can convince Deacon to like me (to further the eventual stealth build I'm driving for) and to get Grognak's Axe which is awesome and has a great low AP cost early on. Has literally worked like a charm, if you need more fleshed out details I can provide them.
