Goodbye Abraham...

Post » Tue May 21, 2013 11:27 am

Whats up guys?

After 50 hours with Abe... it's done. MQ done, DB done, and i'm level 31. I found the ship i was looking for and killed the Judas. He now lives in peace. It's time for me to start anew. This Rp was so great, every quest i did i enjoyed because of the RP....

But it wouldn't make sense RP wise to play anymore

There is always something to roleplay after all of that, YOU SIR ARE NOT DONE!

Also with a character like yours I am surprised you have not done Dawnguard yet, I assume the character is a warrior and depending on preference may want to slaughter vampires who are trying to blot out the sun.

Read the edited post, YOU SIR ARE STILL NOT DONE!

I could do that all day but there are still many things to role play. For example with Dawnguard you can role play that Abraham was forced to come out of retirement due to the threat of a vampiric invasion.

As much as he hates the vampires who destroyed his clan... he will have to wait. His kids have to get to know him.

You see, YOU SIR ARE STILL NOT DONE!

Even with him in retirement you can role play him as a retired warrior (or whatever he is) turned huntsman.

I'll give him time then. In a week or two, i'll pick him back up, but for now, i need fresh air. Maybe a Mage.

For me fifty hours is not enough time to properly role play a character.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands of hours, gives me time to make a proper back story imo.

50 hours, main quest and dark brotherhood done? This smells fast travel all along. You don't rp when you use fast travel. My vampire character did only the dark brotherhood and half Dawnguard but it took him more than 200 hundred hours. Oh, the long walks through Skyrim nights with Serana complaining about the weather...

How do you know he doesn't RP when he fast travels?

You don't know how he plays.

Dude, I don't think the op meant Dark Brotherhood.

The DLC Dragonborn has the same initials.

Which is why I wish people would actually spell out what they are trying to say instead of abbreviating everything.

You're right, I don't know how he rps. Obviously, he is free to fast travel all along; it's just not rp to me.

When I fast travel I role play that I am taking a free carriage ride to the destination, yes you can easily role play with fast traveling.

Fast travel is not a requirement of roleplay. You might not use it when you do, but that doesn't make your approach the one golden rule. If you have in-character justification for the use of fast travel, then I hate to break it to you, it is roleplay.

It is doable if you are willing to do a speed run.

Why is it such a big deal that he completed the main quest and Dragonborn in 50 hours?

I bet I could do it too. Without using fast travel.
