Please, for everything good in this world someone tell me I am not the only one who thinks Google Glass is ridiculous and now that we have another contender in the field of who can look like the biggest tool on the block we get Space Glass.

I mean, look at the price tag for Space Glass. It's nearly $4k for a pair of glasses that are about the size of those goofy glasses you get at a carnival. You know the ones I'm talking about. Those big ass things that are about the size of two heads. I'm not entirely sure how much Google Glass costs but damn. If it's anything like Space Glass I can see why only yuppies wear them.

In general, I rule in favor of function over fashion. If it offers something novel and useful, and it's worth the cost to you, go for it. Everyone has different aesthetics anyway, so trying to buy something for fashion's sake is silly.

the problem i see with all of these HUD glasses is the problem of advertisemants, they'll be there. last thing i'd ever need is to not even be using the functionality of said glasses and then having my sight completely obstructed.

I think there can only be room for devices such as these in a life in which our means of travel is passive or doesn't require user interface. like cars that drive themselves.
