I scoured the forums and didn't see anything close to my issue so here we go.

So i've been playing Fallout Shelter for about a week. I went to a location for a few days that did not have cell reception or wifi and played my game off line. One night I noticed that my vault, the one i've been grinding on for a week, was GONE! My poor vault 545 was no longer there! The button I was used to seeing "Enter Vault 545" was now changed to "Enter Vault". I checked to see if perhaps the vault was changed somehow, hoping and crossing my fingers that it was just some weird button combo that may have been pressed and it moved away from my vault, but no. No vaults were there.

I'm not sure if this game is synced with Google play games app, but I did notice that my gamer tag no longer appeared when I started the game.

Could playing offline for a few days cause a vault to vanish? is there a way to reestablish the connection with Google Play Games?

Is there any way to restore my vault? Or are they lost forever? Abandoned by their Overseer...what they must be thinking....

I am (was) running Shelter on a Samsung Galaxy S5 with 360 Security/Gaming Boost. No SD card.
