Gore Level

They can do what they want with gore. As long as there is an option to turn it off.

Wouldn't mind seeing Severed Nord Leg (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:The_Mead_Hall_Massacre) again used as a blunt weapon.

You can't seriously want no blood/gore.
It's fake.

I'd like slash marks on every hit and dismemberment on death. It won't be as crazy as fallout because its just swords, maces, and arrows.

But It would be cool to see lightning kills randomly pop eyeballs, flame spells scorch the npc, frost shatter body parts, slash marks and slight dismenberment of heads, arms, and legs. While on the other end make maces crush and break.... broken arms, legs and deformed skulls.... I'd also like the sword to penetrate the body if attacked in a straigh foreward motion. Oh and make it so if they die of life drains their bodily fluids are soaked up and they mummify before falling down.

More than Oblivion, less ridiculous than Fallout.

He used Hello Kitty as a benchmark for lack of gore. I don't see how that makes him a 5 year old girl....

I was obviously joking about that, busting his balls a little you know.

We need more blood than Oblivion, I mean it felt as if when I hit them with a sowrd they did not even get as much as a nose bleed. The gore however does not need to be insane like it was in Fallout, we need a believeable amount of blood matching the power of our blows arrow wounds and so on: I would not really like to see a "bloody mess" in Skyrim lets keep that over the top insanity researved for Fallout as it matchs that world perfectly.

I know what you mean. I think the main reason for the that was that it took too many hits to kill some of them. If you only hit them 1-3 times and they fall down, it'd look okay. As it is, swiping away 20 times to kill an NPC is going to look unrealisitic with or without gore. And because they last so long, the "with gore" option is going to get incredibly, well, gory.

This game came out in 2002 and still has the most realistic violence to date. Including angle sensitive slash marks when attacking with a knife, and blood that slowly soaks the surrounding clothing.
Here's an example of the dismember tech:

Realistic gore, please... Needs more blood splashing and visible wounds...

But please, no heads exploding everytime like Fallout... If you fart close to an enemy, his head explodes.

i just want realism... if you grab an corpse, a blood trail would be nice too ;)

Yeah, I think there are literally dozens of "gore" threads. The same goes for most things.

It's kind of a shame how many topics are dissapearing needlessly.

I say let there be levels to choose from, none to Fallout 3 level.

I didn't actually vote, as I just want it to be realistic. Some games are way over the top, with every enemy exploding in a huge cloud of body parts and blood and gore, but I certainly want it to be more than the blood "puff" of morrowind or the paltry little streaks of Oblivion. I'd like to be able to behead or delimb enemies on a powerful blow, and have blood flow out realistically, and maybe see some "gore" once in a while. But no high-pressure water-hose blood fountains from one enemy that turns everything in sight red.

I'm hopinrg for more visceral combat very realistic. Not so much gore as in FO3  , but realistic sword combat and stuff like that. For example if you impale your enemy you should see the sword going through them. :foodndrink:

I'd like to see something like this, even if it's just the finishing moves.

Yeah I thought it was stupid to for example, to cut an ogre about a hundred and fifty times maybe more before he died, and he died without a scrach not to mention the repitition of having to fight a ton of creature and people of equal power without leaving a scratch or a mark or whatever we need a new system. Hopefully with what they are working with now they find a solution to our plight.

They could easily add cuts decals. They just probably won't.

Gore doesn't make a good game. Especially if it's like Fallout, where you can shoot somebody in the arm with a BB gun and their head will blow off. BTW, thanks for making the no option completley riduculous, thus calling anyone who doesn't want it a 5 year old. Way to go.
