Gore Level

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:57 pm

Better. I was only busting your balls a little bit on the Hello Kitty thing because you obviously like Slayer and Metallica. I did not expect anyone to take me seriously or make a big deal out of it.

I don't take stuff seriously :swear:

And what's wrong with liking good music?

Voted "Yes! The more the better! (Plays Raining Blood)"

But, i dont want to see one person after dead spill 8 Galons of Blood.

Just want more larger blood pools, to it stay a little more time on ground and better blood texture.

Um, didn't Fallout 3 had the decapitating, exploding head thing? Or was that Fallout 2? That kind of gore was a really, really big reason why I won't ever play that game. Gore is a little too unnecessary for me.

Even just gushing blood is too much for me at times!

I thought Fallout 3 was okay. It wasn't really too much. Yes it was rather disgusting at times but it made sense considering the damage i had just done. I would be completely fine with it if the gore level was similar in Skyrim. While i think Oblivion was too soft, i could accept that aswell though i wouldn't be happy about it, but that is as far down i am willing to go. Less than that would be ridicilous and very damaging to my overall experience.

It could use a little more gore but not Raining Blood gore.

I demand no more violence and gore then Angel of Death.
In fact the whole game should look like the cover of Christ Ilusion. Ok mabe thats alittle too far :hubbahubba:

Once again I'm misunderstood. Never said anything against damn good music, just that it was funny that someone like yourself who obviously enjoys heavy music would reference something like hello kitty. And as proof of the kind of music I listen to, I have in my room a Dean ML Dimebag Darrel Far Beyond Driven Tribute Edition guitar. My cd book is full of Pantera, Megadeth, Metallica,Black Label Society, Ozzy... the list goes on.
So grab yourself a shot and crank up the metal man.

Um, I'm pretty sure past games have done just fine with some or almost no blood at all. I guess all those good beloved Nintendo games are ridiculous, lol.

If there IS going to be lots of blood, like in Gears of War (which I really loved playing), then, it should do like Gears of War and give a "tone down gore" option for those of us who do not like too, too much blood/gore and cannot mod the game. (I will be playing XBox360 or PS3 version for Skyrim).

For all those who don't like gore, I'm going to suggest this.

Your first time playing the game it will ask you "Do you prefer explicit content", which can later be changed in a menu.

Fallout 3/New Vegas without Bloody Mess. That would be fitting. Especially if you could make someone's head explode or cut their limbs off.

Yeah, something like that (which Call of Duty: Black Ops did) would be fine by me. =)

:starwars: I just thought this emoticon was badass

I want the finishing move on alduin to be a first person part where you are swallowed by him and you have to fight you way out of his body and find his heart and when you stab it and if the gore is turned on blood goes all over the screen and if not then in just stabs the heart and no blood comes out.

Bethesda! Give us options!!!!

Also, Fallout has a generally small amount of gore compared to some games like Gears of War, Splatterhouse, Wolfenstein, Shellshock 2, and Dead rising. It's actually poorly done compared to some of those too.

Yeah, I'm going with the "appropriate amount of gore" choice, I mean, yes I want to take a large sword and cut off someone's arm, or maybe cut them in two? ( Prototype? ) or pop a skull with a mace, or even have the mesh change after certain elemental spells
[ Fire, Ice, Lightning ] is used ( Bioshock ). Realism is one of the things I'd like most with this game.

I would like some blood pooling for dead characters, but maybe I should just go see a shrink.

No, you're perfectly fine. =) Just like I'm perfectly fine with not seeing much gore.

I don't mind either way, as long as there are options to tone it down. =)

Seriously can't wait to see this game in action!

Imagine if the game was photo-real.
You wouldn't be able to play with gore (too obscene) or without gore (too fake).
Good thing games are pretty much cartoons at the moment so we can have realistic blood/gore without being grossed out by it and turning it off.

I'd be happy with "realistic" blood splatters with dismemberment thrown in. Decapitations included, why not..

Then again I wouldn't really mind if there were just small blood splatters.. it's not that big of a deal to me.

More than Oblivion, less ridiculous than Fallout.
This ^
For people who want massive amounts of gore, maybe another perk like Bloody Mess?

I wouldn't mind something like bloody gore, if they didn't make it imbecilic. I hated how in FO3 you could CUT OFF PEOPLE'S HEADS WITH BULLETS.

Feel free to disagree, but Fallout is kinda meant to be over the top & wacky with it's excessive gore... It fits the ironic and sarcastic tone of the Fallout series, if you catch my drift. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that level of gore belongs in The Elder Scrolls. I'm not a dev or anything, so you don't have to lash at me if you disagree.

You’re right, medieval style combat wasn't gory or brutal at all. It was just clean cuts and knocking someone down with a sixty pound sledgehammer

Can we have it so I can cut off arms of the dude I'm fighting? Not as a killing blow? This would make it very interesting and dynamic...

there needs to be tons of gore, when i slash someone that is about to die i wanna see my sword go into him and hack him up or cut his arm off, or go half way into his head and see that his head is hanging apart and then cut it completly off
