Gore Level

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:49 pm

How much gore will be in this game? Will we be able to control the gore content with a meter like the volume or brightness? I hope they have a gore system close to what fallout 3 had. A critical hit to the head with a mace should make pink mist at least if I am battling someone with light armor. Obviously this would not affect people with heavy armor.

Please share your thoughts ^.^

You made the no option so much more appealing  Frankly, Oblivion had quite a nice amount of gore, I mean they had pretty nice mutilated bodies. It could use a little more gore but not Raining Blood gore. But there is a point where you reach too much gore and that is overly excessive gore just for the sake of having it instead of the sake of realism.

Fallout 3 dismemberment was non-sense (Still Bloody Mess was a good perk).
Oblivion was not gory at all.
[censored] Hello Kitty Adventure.
Realistic dismemberment is the way.
So more blood and gore.

I was hoping for possible dismemberment, akin to Fallout 3. It would be pretty sweet to just lop some guy's arm off. It would work well with the whole finishing moves thing.

That being said I won't really be disappointed if it doesn't make an appearance.

Honestly, im not much of a gore w-hore, but id like it to be realistic-meaning when i cut somebody I want the appropriate amount of blood to spill out. I dont want a pinprick to send gallons of blood gushing everywhere. AKA Dragon Age:Origins.

Well to be fair, that one wanted six everywhere, I like this one better where it is just talking about the gore.

We need more blood than Oblivion, I mean it felt as if when I hit them with a sword they did not even get as much as a nose bleed. The gore however does not need to be insane like it was in Fallout, we need a believeable amount of blood matching the power of our blows arrow wounds and so on: I would not really like to see a "bloody mess" in Skyrim lets keep that over the top insanity researved for Fallout as it matchs that world perfectly.

Fallouts was over the top and unrealistic, even without the bloody mess perk.
Hello Kitty? what are you? a five year old little girl?
Oblivions could have maybe used a bit more, but not much.
Skyrim might need a higher level depending on things like if the dragons can bite dudes in half.
By the way... nice Slayer reference.

I'm hopinrg for more visceral combat very realistic. Not so much gore as in FO3  , but realistic sword combat and stuff like that. For example if you impale your enemy you should see the sword going through them. :foodndrink:

He used Hello Kitty as a benchmark for lack of gore. I don't see how that makes him a 5 year old girl....

Need cuts on characters when we chop them.
Kinda like how goldeneye had those "blood patches" when you shot them.

Speaking of raining blood, They should do a weather changing spell like in shivering isles. except you choose the weather.

Like you could make it rain blood at a certain point and a secret vampiric dragon would come down from the sky. ummm epic? yes. hire me

I want more than OB less than FO3 as well. I also want it to be realistic and based on the locational damage. It just was so bad to slash a guy across the chest piece of his plate armor and have blood spew everywhere. No more bleeding armor.

I second this, this is exactly what I want also decapitations should be in but realistically you wont always cut off a head or an arm so why should you in Skyrim. It would be nice if characters with more power could severe limbs easier: the gore should be done in a realistic manner no exploding body parts leave that to Fallout... :foodndrink:

I want realistic gore. i dont wanna kill someone and then have them explode into organs and a pool of blood. Seriously, though, if i have a battleaxe, i should be able to cut someone's head clean off. If I have a warhammer, i should be able to make heads explode. If i have a magic attack that does, like, 150 damage, it should blow up weaker enemies like imps.
You shoul also be able to use environment. if you're using fists, it shouldnt just be punchpunchpunch. you should be able to smash heads on trees, or push them into a wall so that theuy fall, leaving them open. simple stuff like that.
