Will there be any gore in Skyrim?

What would you think of gore in Skyrim?

If i am correct there will be gore because when you watch the trailer he cuts the dragon with his sword, and you see blood come out of the beast and it lands on "our hero".

I like the idea :)

I think that Skyrim seriously needs gore, though there will probably be an off switch for the squeamish. :chaos:

Yes! To a degree anyway. Finishers and such.

There is a video clip where an axe is smashed into somebody's neck, and it looked pretty good. Hopefully that corpse will have a giant gash where the axe struck.

I agree with the idea that corpses won't explode like fallout, and I don't want them to personally. However, hacking off a limb could make me more inclined to pick up an axe.

Yo dawg I heard you like gore so we put a gore in your gore so you can blow body parts up while you're blowing body parts up.

I would like some gore. A realistic amount, not like mortal kombat but some.

Indeed if you look close on the finishing moves you'll see some gore, but not Fallout Style.

If you look at at this you'll see that blood probably will cover "our hero'' as well.

Yes, shoes called Gore-Tex.

I think Todd did confirm gore though, but not as ridiculously much as in fallout.

Based on what we've heard, it sounds like there will be some amount of gore, but it won't be as extreme as Fallout 3, and I'm not sure if Bethesda is actually certain just how much gore they're going to do yet. In any case, from the trailer, it looks like blood sprays are more realistic than in Oblivion, but beyond that, the trailer doesn't really tell us much.

Well in the official gameplay video, you see the PC stabbing a NPC in the neck. I would think that they want to add blood for some added affected.

Dismemberment is not confirmed but there will be finishing moves and things like that. I think that there should be dismemberment, its just comes with the Nord ''viking style'' I think ;)

Also,in the gameplay trailer at around 1:33 when the character swings his axe towards the Drauger,it literally sounds like you can hear his neck snap.
Looks like a finishing move or potentially dismemberment.

If there wasn't any gore, PEGI wouldn't have rated it 18+. Of course there will be gore.

Dismemberment would be ok, exploding body parts would not. The blood spray should be toned down from FO3/NV.
Don't want exploding heads with three or more eyeballs strewn about from a single enemy like Fallout.
Smacking enemies a killing blow to the head with a blunt weapon should cave their head in not explode it.

I doubt that there will be more gore than a few blood sprays from finishing moves that would nail a major artery or vein, but other than that, not much. Fallout lost the magic touch of jubilations from watching a guy explode from shooting him with a missile launcher after fifth time of watching a super mutant go kablooy because I shot him with a 10mm pistol 4 times.

There will be some realistic blood in the combat, maybe some guts here and there (probably more so in the scenery, like the hanging bodies and stuff in Oblivion), but nothing like the over-the-top gore in Fallout. Sure it works wonders in Fallout, but it doesn't fit the vibe of TES.

I say perhaps the slicing off of of smashing of hands or lower legs perhaps with a perk. Would make it more interesting.

I remember Todd in an interview say something along the lines "We may look into it if we have the time."
