Goris!

Hey people here to say how awesome I think vault 13 is and goris its so well done.
But it also got me thinking, would it be possible to have an old and wise goris in fo4 (dependant on location obv and age as I understand hes a teenager).
I would love to see him redone in 3d with excellent writting.
Thoughts?

I guess it is possible. I doubt we will see him again mainly due to the mixed reaction to intelligent Deathclaws.

What do you mean by mixed reaction?

My understanding is that many people weren't happy with the idea of intelligent Deathclaws. Even some of the Devs of Fallout 2.

I wouldn't like it because Bethesda would make Goris into another Fawkes.

It's a really poor decision balance wise for the gameplay to make your character able to get a follower who has the most health out of everything in the entire game by far and they would probably make the same mistake again.

Seriously?
But why I thought the backstory with the enclave was good.

Maybe cause mutated lizards dipped in FEV somehow = speech capabilities.
RIght now they're basically just animals, somehow dipping them into FEV turns them into sentient beings.
Kinda ridiculous. The hairy deathclaws in Fallout Tactics were better implemented IMO.
They were kind of like cavemen, capable of limited speech only and not everyone of their kin could speak.
But regular deathclaws + FEV = throat and vocal cords adapt to be able to speak.
If they didn't get speech the first time that they were dipped in FEV I fail to see how they should be able to get it the 2nd time they're dipped.

I liked them, even though they didn't make any sense. But they worked for one game only.
Just like Seymour and the radscorpion with glasses in Broken Hills. I enjoyed them, but that doesn't mean I want to see any more of their kin. Ever.

There's only supposed to be 2 inteligent deathclaw potentially unnacounted for from F2 - Xarn and Goris.

Neither are female, so that seems to draw an end to the line.

There is the Deathclaw Matriakh from Tactics, semi canon, who did display some inteligence, but who knows if thats considered canon by Beth (Unlikely I would think).
