Um, what? I think you quoted the wrong post. I didn't say anything about people being qualified or being hired for their looks.

Yes, I did quote the wrong person:/
Ill see if I can fix it.

Edit: fixed sort of.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, it looks nice, a fine piece of art.

What did it cost?

sorry but thats pretty lame..

in 20 years, when skyrim is as old as super mario bros 1.. you will want it removed.

Why's that? A lot of people would love a mario tattoo. A lot ofc people probably have mario tattoos. Also, I guess this needs to be said again. That is not the symbol of Skyrim. It is the symbol of the empire. It's been around a lot longer than Skyrim.

After TES? Don't speak of such things. TES will go on for eternity. I foresee Todd Howard's future to be a lot like Mr. House. He will be around forever.

Your'e the second person I've seen on these crazy internets to have a tattoo done like that.
I think it's pretty cool looking and not many people will know what it is unless they're an Elder Scrolls fan. If they do, then that'll just work out nicely.

The vast majority of employers will not hire people with visible tattoos (and piercings) if they have any public interaction at all. The armed forces, the police and I would imagine any modelling agencies have strict policies on tattoos. I was pointing out that the persons claim was false and im right in doing so.

Also the generalization that a "nice" job requires sleeves is pretty ignorant.

Not in my town, police have tattos, people working at fast food, walmart and those working office jobs.

That would make your entire life awkward. Having to live 24/7 with the person who fired you. It would be weird if you kicked the guys ass too.

It's one of the nicest tats I have seen. Though if I was having it done I'd probably have it done quite small.

Pretty sweet. A lot better than some meaningless junk that a lot of people have. Plus, it's a dragon tat that looks cooler than most, so no one will judge you for it. I give you props

Yeah, and office jobs seems like a funny one to me. Obviously those kind of employers don't want tattoos, but if you dress properly, you won't have to worry. You have to wear a longsleeve shirt and pants. The only thing left is your neck and face, and I think those are two places where tattoos shouldn't go. Of course, that's just my opinion. If you want a tattoo in one of those areas, go for it.

Much cooler than the fad for stars on necks/legs/faces etc that seems to be going around the UK at the moment...they look awful. I really don't see what that is all about.
Liking the Dragon though mate.

The whole concept of jobs denying people for having tattoos is ridiculous , especially because I see REALLY fat/ugly/old/weird people working (Namely at places like walmart but you know).... they themself aren't denied jobs for being ugly as hell but then for instance an attractive person could be denied a job because they have tattoos? WTF?

Thats messed up

If it was not for the fact that I'd probably be forced to wear long sleeves every day of my life at a potential job/career in the future , then I would definately consider getting tattoo sleeves cause I love how they look

Ironicly , I'm tattoo free , and good looking and yet all of my attempts at getting jobs have been utter failure (I'm only 22 so we're talking about stupid jobs like stores/restaraunts) BUT you know , it still makes no sense. Then it pisses me off when I (and this happens alot) see a person appearing to be 300+ pounds and/or 60+ years old and/or just plain ugly as hell working cash registers and I'm like "Now HOW IN THE HELL did they pick someone like that over someone like me?"

you thinking you are better than someone because they are fat/ugly/old is a great reason for someone not to hire you. Its called personality..something employers look for. They dont like pretty people if they are jerks. Charismaaaaa try to care about people more and maybe they will repay the favor. Arrogance is a bigger flaw than appearance any day.

See when your with her and she says "Cool tattoo, What's it from?" You say, "Thanks, It's the symbol of an ancient god." Then that's pretty much it....... Super awkward right?

That will never do. You have to say
"It's the symbol of the Cyrodiilic Septim Empire of the third era, which crumbled after the murder of emperor Uriel Septim VII by the mythic dawn and the subsequent Oblivion crisis. The dragon is most likely a representation of Akatosh, the Cyrodiilic god of time. It features on the cover art of both Morrowind and Skyrim."

If she doesn't like it, she wasn't a TES nerd and is thus not worth it!

How do you explain tribals? Or japanese style dragons?

I would never get a TES tattoo personally but if someone else wants to do that, why not?
I'd rather have that symbol on me than a lot of popular motives people get. Also why would girls (who you generalize so well) think it's stupid? That's pretty prejudiced of you.

How to explain a dragon tattoo? You point at it and say "it's a [censored] dragon". I only know this from expertise as I have a dragon tattoo (I'm also well credentialed in this field, have been through a post-graduate education on the matter).

BTW, I hate your face.

Anyways, I'd personally never get an TES tattoo. Maybe I could get something TES inspired. OK, now that I've actually looked at your tattoo, my feelings against have disappred since it just appears to be a pretty cool looking dragon. I'd could see getting something a little more iconic like some sort of mario related tattoo, but that's about as far as I'd go with video game tattoo's at this point in time.

Hmm, speaking of tattoo's, I need more. They get addictive. I think I'm getting to get a robot Thor wielding a demon hammer fighting a pack of zombie babies, in space.
