The armed forces, the police and I would imagine any modelling agencies have strict policies on tattoos.

Their policy is the same, as long as your hands and face are clear of tattoos, you're golden. I've seen plenty of police officers and I know a few armed forces gentlemen who have some wicked sleeves. As long as you are mentally and physically able to do the job, they don't discriminate.

Cool.
Much cooler than the fad for stars on necks/legs/faces etc that seems to be going around the UK at the moment...they look awful. I really don't see what that is all about.
Liking the Dragon though mate.

HEY! Mike Tyson's face tattoo is timeless and ageless.

That is Mike Tyson though. I'm not going to say anything. Just ask Allen what it's like to be on Tyson's bad side.

you thinking you are better than someone because they are fat/ugly/old is a great reason for someone not to hire you. Its called personality..something employers look for. They dont like pretty people if they are jerks. Charismaaaaa try to care about people more and maybe they will repay the favor. Arrogance is a bigger flaw than appearance any day.

Sure you could say that , but the thing is they don't somehow know that about me through a mere application paper and/or interview.... or COULD THEY?!?!?!? O_O :P

No the messed up thing is that you have this superficial outlook on life.

That's awesome. A friend of mine (well, Internet friend really) had the Oblivion symbol tattooed on his foot. It's pretty cool. If I wasn't such a coward about needles I'd get a TES tattoo too. :P

I admire your courage. I don't think i'd ever get a 3D-metallic logo as a tattoo though, I have to say.

See when your with her and she says "Cool tattoo, What's it from?" You say, "Thanks, It's the symbol of an ancient god." Then that's pretty much it....... Super awkward right?

Edit: Damn RevolverZarriel beat me to it.

Better yet, what if you're walking about and some girl's like "Ooh, TES!" Then it's just plain win.

Just jumping in to point out that this is false. Many jobs require no tattoos.

No jobs worth having. Hell, I'm a writer, my job doesn't even require pants! My other job is at the library, and they don't care either. Well, they do about the pants, but not the tattoos.

The whole concept of jobs denying people for having tattoos is ridiculous , especially because I see REALLY fat/ugly/old/weird people working (Namely at places like walmart but you know).... they themself aren't denied jobs for being ugly as hell but then for instance an attractive person could be denied a job because they have tattoos? WTF?

Thats messed up

If it was not for the fact that I'd probably be forced to wear long sleeves every day of my life at a potential job/career in the future , then I would definately consider getting tattoo sleeves cause I love how they look

Ironicly , I'm tattoo free , and good looking and yet all of my attempts at getting jobs have been utter failure (I'm only 22 so we're talking about stupid jobs like stores/restaraunts) BUT you know , it still makes no sense. Then it pisses me off when I (and this happens alot) see a person appearing to be 300+ pounds and/or 60+ years old and/or just plain ugly as hell working cash registers and I'm like "Now HOW IN THE HELL did they pick someone like that over someone like me?"

If you look really high up, you can just see the point of this thread just sailing past your head...although you did write an entertaining (although extremely shallow) post

Might I offer a friendly word of advice? You've been on the forums two days, and posts like this are not the way to make a good first impression...

I can think of about 15 that I know who'd think that actually happened. Also, @OP if she happens to understand what you just said, then marry her!

How to explain a dragon tattoo? You point at it and say "it's a [censored] dragon". I only know this from expertise as I have a dragon tattoo (I'm also well credentialed in this field, have been through a post-graduate education on the matter).

BTW, I hate your face.

And it's just as easy to point at that symbol and say "it's a [censored] dragon". My point wasn't that you can't explain a dragon tattoo just that it wouldn't be anymore difficult to explain a TES tattoo as compared to a common tattoo, especially when it's pretty neutral and speaks for itself anyway.

What have my face ever done to you? And what does it have to do with tattoos? Shame on you for being so mean. :nono:

I love TES and I'll always be a devoted fan... But I'd never get a video game related tattoo. I'm sure I'd end up regretting it some day.

My friends all want to get tattoos of the Dragon Balls because it was a big part of their childhood... That's cool and all, but you don't need to permanently engrave it into your flesh to know that it was a big part of your childhood.

The vast majority of employers will not hire people with visible tattoos (and piercings) if they have any public interaction at all. The armed forces, the police and I would imagine any modelling agencies have strict policies on tattoos. I was pointing out that the persons claim was false and im right in doing so.

Also the generalization that a "nice" job requires sleeves is pretty ignorant.

I know plenty of police officers with tattoos. Mind you, I am in Britain. :) The forearm probably wasn't the best choice for the job thing though. I know there are a few employers who won't take anyone on with a visible tattoo (but if thats the case, who wants to be employed by them?) but most of them now aren't really bothered. My last boss had a tattoo down his arm, as did most of the other employees and that was a 'nice job'.

On the tat- thats a great one! I'm planning on getting the Hylian crest (the red bird on Link's shield in The Legend of Zelda) on my bicep, and Akatosh might just follow after seeing this.
