Hi, just want to warn anybody who has NOT yet completed vanilla game main quest and not yet started Dawnguard. Hold on to the Dragon Scroll as it will be needed again and you can only get rid of it once. Even though it really weighs nothing, it becomes yet another annoying stuck item and I don't see mention of a fix in 1.9 patch.

I did not have this bug in my Xbox game and I figured out why: I still had the scroll, forgot I had it when Dawnguard was released for the Xbox long ago. So I didn't have to buy it back. The option to sell it is only once so don't use that option until after Dawnguard. I can not drop it, sell it or put it in a bookshelf. The other 2 can be disposed of, but not the Dragon scroll. My only new bug in the DLC so far, not game-breaking, but thought I should warn people who can still be saved this annoyance.

yep, i know that. there was even another thread about the elder scrolls at some point

Thanks, Litter, I remember that thread but couldn't find it because it was in the general and I wanted to put it in the Dawnguard sub forum. I commented in that thread but was based on my earlier Xbox experience, when I didn't get a stuck scroll. The Beth programmers had to have anticipated this, because they wrote in how to get the scroll back if we already sold it but decided it was ok to add yet another stuck item. They know how much that annoys some of us but they left it at this anyway. Not cool!

aye, that is true. probbably it was a simple oversight by Bethesda, or another scripting issue or whatnot but anyways, atleast 1 can sell it if they hadnt already bought it back from Urag..atleast thats something

Wow i cannot even drop my 3 Dragon Scrolls that i needed for the dawnguard quest, even though i have completed it, and all 3 weigh 20lbs each in my game. PS3 user, so is this another glitch to be had.
