What games would those be? Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I don't remember another game using this. If you mean Morrowind, I thought it used something else.

It used an earlier version of Gamebryo known as net.immerse, or something similar to that.

Bit dissapointed with the game. Like FO3 i didn't know where to go so i just did the main-quest, just to get a feel for the actual area. Didn't make it clear, and i found out too late, but alas like Fallout 3, the game ends when u do the last quest. wtf... 8 hours of playing this game and i cant even continue, really pissed me off since i only used a single save...

this game is awsome.
spoiler alert
Spoiler
ive found friendlly super mutants, and stealthboy junkies, space traveling ghouls, gunpowder deranged crooks, dynamite a plenty.

i think i finally made a dent into the game.

Spoiler
edit: you know, when i think about it, this game actully has some sort of ALIVE feel. theres patrols and fights and ambushes, every time i take a walk i run into something that wants me dead, and theres only monsters have fixed spawns, i think.

sorry for spoilers, it gets really hard to talk about a new game without spoilers.

Great game. Way better than FO3. No problems here, just enjoying the ride. I do wish there was a super harcore mode with a lot less items floating around.

You want a reply to this I'm sure....

Firstly, Learn to break up your posts into chunks so it's not a horrific wall of text that's hard to read. I honestly don't know which it is... people are either too lazy to hit "enter" or too dumb, either way it's bad.

Ok, so you're complaining about people complaining. Typical. Everyone has their opinion, you're no better than them when you complain yourself.

Fallout New Vegas is a great game... in it's essence. It's buggier than any game I've played. Many times my arms start raising up, I can't mod my weathered 10mil Pistol or a giant red hexagon appears. I lost the ability to listen to Black Mountain Radio... Shame because that's the only good one. (sorry Mr. New Vegas is lame, I liked him at first but he's not entertaining enough for me). I would keep listing bugs but I'm not in the mood to beat a already beaten dead horse.

Fallout 3 overall was a more solid game. When (if) they fix the bugs on this game and actually patch it with something meaningful then I can give this game what it deserves in terms of score. For now it remains crippled because of the graphical and technical bugs that is riddled (at least in the 360 version) through out the game.

You yourself mentioned bugs, granted that's awesome that the ones you talk about are so easily fixed. However, many of the ones (including the ones I provided) are not easily fixed and occur no matter what you do. The gun/arms raising to the top of the screen happened to me during combat once and it got me killed. It's just disappointing that these things weren't spotted (doubtful) and/or not fixed by launch. Delaying the launch date can be a good thing. Many times games that have that happen are bad but in this case I feel it was needed in order to get the full potential from this game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying playing the game. I just find it silly that people like you complain about people who have every right to think the way they do. Not only do they have the right they have the evidence. You can tell people to think but a lot of the bugs people are posting on are ones that aren't fixable by simply reloading a save.

EDIT: I just wanted to include the fact that it does in fact feel like a huge expansion. Granted, it's got cool new things (only a few mind you) but it doesn't change the fact that they did nothing to update the graphics or interactions with characters. Also, while you feel that getting the pipboy was comfortable I feel it was just done and no real reason behind some guy giving his pipboy to a random person. Personally it felt weak (of course that's my opinion)

It's not that it has bugs, it's got a LOT of bugs. Bugs that should have been fixed before launch (obvious bugs). Floating items are one thing but when my arms start rising up to the top of the screen it's just stupid.

I love the game, a lot, I just think it's many bugs take away from the game.

Damn, you're right, it was NetImmerse for Morrowind. My bad.

P.S.

Though it is simply Gamebryos predecessor. So, basically Gamebryo.

Holy crap. The game -warns- you when you're about to go past the point of no return. Did you really miss that? It was a pop-up window that -requires- confirmation.

You have no room to complain.

1. The west half of the map is inaccessible. Thats stupid to even include it. It can be seen on the pipboy but not traveled to.

2. I think the games ending is stupid. I have beaten it twice. Once with NCR and once with Mr.House. I like definitive endings, but make it definitive.

Spoiler
Its BS to give me EXP, and have an open ending just to not have it be open.

But other than that, I just wish the .50 was a Barrett or a chey-tech (which isnt a .50 cal, now that i think of it)

All I have to say is this.

Well said. :tops:

And it's very refreshing for once to not see a wall of negative text typed by an 8 year old that all boils down to this:
"OMG!!! MAI GAYM CRASHED ONE TIEM, ITZ SO BUGGAY. I'M RETURNING BECAUZ OBZIDIAN IS FAIL DEV AND BETHEZDA IZ THEIF!!!"

Seeing this big wall of positivity has really made my day so much better. Thanks, dmdf11. :woot:

10 times better than FO3?, seriously?
I'm enjoying this game, but it is no where near 10 times better, in my opinion it could be on level par with FO3 but it falls short in a couple of areas, not least of which is the obvious re-use of a lot of stuff from FO3, I guess I was just expecting a new game, that's not to say I don't enjoy this one, it's always fun exploring new territory, but there's no getting away from the fact that this is FO3 in a different location, that's not to take away from the devs efforts, they have done a good job, some of the characters are interesting while others male me yawn(been there, done that, got the tshirt), what lets this game down a little in my opinion is I feel like my character is an errand boy, in order to advance even the main quest you character has to be someones lackey, but then I guess that's not much different to FO3.

I got bored with the strip very quickly and am now back to wandering the wasteland searching out undiscovered locations, no, this is not 10 times better than FO3, maybe on par but definitely not better.

I take it you haven't played Fallout 1 and 2, have you?

The reason why a -lot- of people are saying that New Vegas is so much better than Fallout 3 is because it's the first new Fallout game that has actually captured the essence of Fallout 1 and 2. Proper quest structure, superb dialog, faction/area politics...wonderful stuff.

I completely agree with the OP. There are some glitches that need to be fixed. There are others which they shouldn't even waste their time on. Especially with the vendor glitch. If someone wants to waste their time doing that then by all means do it! If someone doesn't like it then....DONT DO IT!

I attempted to play fallout 2 to get some background before playing NV, but I never could get into turn based combat or isometric views, I think I got to level 4 before I gave up, not because it was hard but because the turn based combat was trying my patience to the limit, oh and I'd already been terribly spoiled by recent graphics advances so FO2 kinda had me crindging a little, I could see the story was good, just not enough to overcome the turn based combat and keep me interested.

Well, at any rate, the reason in my post is why a lot of people are loving New Vegas. Obsidian actually seems to understand the Fallout world in-depth, while Bethesda only seems to understand it superficially, as shown with Fallout 3.

Yeah, I salute your effort, but FO1 and 2 are simply unplayable by today's standards. I played them back in the day, but damn, I tried to revisit 2 last month and I just couldn't do it.

I beg to differ. I still do yearly runs of Fallout 1 and 2, and have been doing so for the last 9 years.

Turn based combat is quite appealing to some and still has its fan base, believe it or not.
