It doesn't bother me that much. It just makes them selfish. We need player solidarity to protect us (players) as a consumer group. I don't play a two hander but if the patch came out and broke two handed weapons I wouldn't be saying, "Well I don't use two handed anyway so ladida .."
Have you considered that since the OP has decided to make fun of a potentially game-breaking issue, people are simply pointing out that this is not the case? As far as I can see, the only power-gamers (the type of gamers that I assume would find dragons "easy") that are really screwed are destruction magi since their resistance poisons will no longer work. Smithing and enchanting still allows players to one-shot dragons and assassin-types never needed worry about getting hit in the first place.
To rephrase, the problem isn't that players negate a lot of damage(as it was in Oblivion, where you could become immune to everything but arrows and traps) with resistances, it's that it's too easy to do too much damage (current theorycrafting puts the maximum at over 16k, which I believe close to five times the health of an elder dragon). Therefore, for the players that the OP addresses, this bug will not be as disastrous predicted.
For the record, I do agree that this is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately. I'm glad it doesn't bother you, but still, examine the arguments before you label people as selfish. I don't recall anyone mentioning or even implying that this is a trivial issue that doesn't need to be fixed.
