Ok so we've got Nord vs. Nord, but do we have Nord vs. Dunme

It's supposedly a time of turmoil, where the empire is falling a part, the Argonians have invaded Morrowind and kingdoms are seceeding from the empire. Morrowind and Skryrim have fought over borders in the past, so it seems logical that the eastern clans of Skyrim would try and take back some of Morrowind, especially while the dunmer are weak from the destruction of vivec and the erruption of Red Mountain. It'd make an interesting game dynamic thats for sure...

BUT the nords are fighting a civil war right now so I don't think they can focus on expanding right about now.
Instead they should make it so that there are lots of refugees from Morrowind onthe eastern border of Skyrim.

Actually, if you are already engaged in a civil war in your own country... choosing to suddenly open up another front against a foreign country isn't exactly a bright idea.

I can see where your coming from with the Nord civil war thing, with resources and all that jazz, but there may be a possibility that things are more stable then you'd expect: Some clans may be allied, or it might be a civil war in the sense of a military stand off (so really not too much major conflict - afterall if they are fighting over the crown they wouldn't want to kill all of their future subjects) over who will be the next high king of Skyrim. So maybe they do have the resources to sieze a once in a lifetime opportunity, plus some clans may have a lot of power to throw around

If anything, I'd expect one side to try and ally themselves with said country as opposed to just cutting them off completely. Much like the Confederacy's attempts to ally itself with Great Britain during the American Civil War.

There's only one town full of dunmer...and the dunmer are nothing more than scattered refugees...why the [censored] would they want to start a war with someone? They already just got curb stomped by the argonians, and mer are not the best baby makers in Tamriel.

Which is why they have a problem. The Dunmer lost Vvardenfell and southern Morrowind and have to flee somewhere. They took over Solstheim - probably not peacefully - so I'd not be surprised if they'd just wait for a chance to attack the Nords once they lost enough men to the civil war. I could actually see that as a plot element.

Perhaps not dunmers they suffer from war with argonians invaders and Vvardenfell cataclysm,
but Aldmeri Dominion an old rival of Empire some orthodox elves thats still want return of their robbed immortality and mystic powers can align wit Dragons since they are messengers of Auri-El and there is no more Shor, god of the Underworld Nordic version of Lorkhan, who will takes sides with Men in thats conflict, maybe even Shezarrine will be involved in story of Skyrim.
