I've Got a question about Caesar's Legion

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 9:53 pm

Is it possible for a Female Character to side with them during the main quest or does Legions's Philosophy on Women prevent that from happening.

It was never really discussed in the Q&A, but from my opinion, I'd say there's still a possibility that you can if you play a female character although I'd think it'd be a little more complicated as opposed to a male joining.

I agree with Paragon. I bet it's possible but it would be more complicated. Might have to work twice as hard to prove you're just as good as any man. Even then they might just let you be a groupie.

I'll just bat my "Black Widow" eyelashes at Caesar, no problems then ;)

You can probably still do the Caesar quests without "joining" the Legion in the full sense. Infact, you probably don't join the NCR either. Just help them.

Their women are probably used to procreate anyways. CL will just know they don't have a chance with you so they'll let you fight, or something.

It would really, really amazing if you couldn't- seriously, I would be shocked and awed- and that's why you can. They're not going to limit you from joining one of the 2 major faction just because you chose to play a female character. The main idea is that people would complain if they couldn't, or they'd have to make a ton of new content (ex: female only faction). Lot easier to just add another quest if you're female and want to join CL, and it pleases the fans.

I'm just wondering because I plan on playing as a female character and I probably going to join up with the legion if they the legion allow it.

Are you serious?

I think they have to allow it, no matter how much Caesars Legion wants to stick to Caesars Philosophy from centuries ago.

And if you want to take it more seriously, I think the game would be on the news, and a law suit quickly pursued due to female rights, and they would file a lawsuit because the person was offended...

To avoid that, and every other concern, and to appeal to the gamer who buys the game, they must, in fact, allow a Female made character to enter into Caesars Legion...

Obviously.

Yes, he is serious. It was stated in the Best Buy video that their are no women in the Legion. They are either enslaved or used to procreate.

Or maybe both?

They wouldn't make it so because the game's rating, due to sixism, would jump from 18+ into.....21+

People take games too seriously these days so I doubt the devs would dare make it so. I wouldn't mind it though, since it would be true to what they are trying to be.

Well benefits and disadvantages of gender has been here in other fallout games wether they be perks or character interactions

I dont think they would Not let you join CL as a woman completely as that is unfair (although there may be an all female faction, males cant join)

They just make it different to males, but I agree it should be harder just so CL is sticking to what it stands for

But im sure they balance it out along the way with other factions and characters males will find difficulty to bond with

I could of sworn that I heard in the best buy chat that they don't allow women but I'm sure there will be exceptions with your character.

well your not actually in the legion when you first meet them. and if you do side with them id guess that you would have shown enough skill that they would overlook the biological differences.

This got me thinking a bit, as they dont believe in equal rights, why would a female character WANT to join them?

I haven't thought about that I just wanted my character to join up with the most badass group and Legion is in that catagory

You can, because in the livestream video the demo character was female, and she had a good reputation with the legion

well until the US supreme court take up the case in November, Games still have a right to free speech. so games can still do what they want.

besides, you can always kill everyone in their camps and wipe the faction out.

I don't think sixism is a really smart move for anyone in the wasteland. After all, why exclude more then half of the entire human population from you organization just because of their gender? Especially since there is a war going on between the NCR, the Legion, and the BOS right now. They will need all the manpower and resources that they can get.

sixism was not a smart move in real life, but it happened. Caesar may be a very smart and educated man, but even he can make mistakes.

Anyway, yeah, I'm pretty sure you can join CL, regardless of character gender.
