Some guy is kicked backwards on a pic. Blood drops are clearly visible in the air while he topples on his back.

Wasn't there some comment about a midsection slash too ? Shiny.

Very intrigued by this new dragonshouts. It sounds very versatile. *wants the word of power to backstab people*

It's official. I'm pumped. It may not have everything on my wish list, but the dynamic quests and radiant ai sound awesome. Tavern girl is gorgeous. I just fear what this game is going to do to my computer.

GAHH I want to see tavern girl lol

I also saw a pic of some dude who appeared to be an assassin stabbing a dude in the gut. He appeared to have a dagger and was pushing the man into the blade. pretty epic

How do the argonians look? Are we back to beast legs or what?

I'm not sure if any of the users posted anything on the beast races yet. Hope they'll have beast legs. Best situation is if there are a variety of breeds.

It states clearly that the draw distance is incredible and that everything that you see you can traverse. So relax.

Oh my days if it is not an open world I'll literally head to Bethesda HQ and tie myself to the front of Todd Howards car in protest.

Someone find a world design quote now! D:

Its something we take for granted because its been in the series since Arena...its one of the defining aspects of the elderscrolls. Someone in the thread has assured me that you can travel anywhere...and anywhere you look you can go to.

So in other words i'm very happy in the level of detail thats gone into detailing an open world environment.

Level scaling? anyone? I'm sorta worried :S

I doubt it could get worse than Oblivion's... but yes it exists. Dont fret tho. The guys at Beth are not that incompetent.

So we have slow motion, werewolves, dual wielding, more gore, and dragon shouts that grant other abilities.... Im feelin this so far.

Bows also do far more damage. I wonder if head shots count for anything?

Characters appear very muscular. Also noticed a dark elf in armor from the back, the blue colour of the skin was just perfect.

When they reveal their faces, hope they have their ruby red eyes

Hopefully the mysticism spells have simply been merged with other schools. I'll admit it was mostly useless.

It sounds like the spells were merged into other schools of Magic and new spells have been added

Level scaling was better in Fallout 3, I doubt they'd go back to the Oblivion system again. Especially since it was pretty much the biggest point of criticism.

Mysticism is a spell school I won't miss. Sure hope Unarmored is back though.

Yes it's true but there's no word about *UP*. If dragon attack cities, then cities are open right ?

Levitation ?

Dual Wielding? +
~Adds a whole new level of 'action' to the game. Ever since playing Bioshock 2 I've been wanting to have this kind of customization.

Additional Crafting? +
~Opens up lots of design and content room. Alchemy, Enchanting, Custom-Forged armor and weapons? Yes please.

Updated Graphics? +
~Oblivion and Fallout 3/NV were pretty, but it's about time we got something new.

Dragons? +
~Dragon slaying is a woefully underrepresented activity these days.

Fast Travel? +
~One thing fans seem to forget is that Daggerfall had map-based fast travel.

Perks? +
~This was a good idea in 1997 and remained one in 2008 and 2010. It adds to character customization and opens up design space.

Exchanging stats for health/stamina/magicka? -/+
~ This steps the game a little farther away from 'RPG' and a little closer to 'Pure Action Game' but it could work.

I was reading in the one of the other threads about Radiant Quests. I really need to know more before I form an opinion about this. If it's more of the same level-adjusted, largely empty dungeons that we had in Oblivion I'm going to be sorely disappointed.
I think I'm willing to give Beth the benefit of the doubt however. They're well aware of all the vitriol that level-adjusted content earned and I'd like to think that if they were bringing back the mechanic in a larger role that they'd implement it better this time around.

Ha ha! Someone re-created a double waterfall to pool screenshot from a press shot in Oblivion. Once again not so sure the water looks top notch. Hopefully we'll get higher settings on the pc.

Which skills did they cut besides Mysticism? I can see them justifiying it with lore.. but I'll miss it. :(

Can't believe there are mammoths or sabretooth cats though, you'd have tought they'd be meantioned in past elder scolls games, like the books.

They recognize the fact that the Oblivion menus were cumbersome. There's a menu button which enables a compass like overlay, with 4 options: skills, inventory, map, magic. Completely different looking menus for each. More graphics, less lists and names.

Not sure if it's really better in terms of navigation, we'll see. The magic screen looks pretty anyway.

Ugh crap.

I thought this would happen.

If you take a look at the screenshot where he's scrolling through his skills, you'll see his name, his level, his race, a list of his skills, and his health, stamina, and magicka.

So what does that leave out? Attributes.

I think attributes are gone. They aren't mentioned anywhere in the article either.

I do NOT like that.

I'm not gonna be hyped before I know it's not gonna be oblivon all over again. HOWEVER; the dual-wield system = awesome imo, leveling overhaul=promising, even less skills? = Baaaad

edit: what ? slowmotion, please no :(((
