Talking to NPCs no longer freezes time or does the zoom in. NPCs can walk around while you talk with them.

There's mining, woodcutting and cooking.

Dang I hope they haven't made conversations too different...

Characters show more emotion, and there's more distinction between races. Faces look a lot better, not so cartoony anymore.

Will the dynamic shadows be for all platforms, or if you're not allowed to answer, what does everyone else think?

Okay, one last question... do we see beards?

Really really hope there'll be beards and tattoos (i.e. the cool blue Nord ones from MW).

So, they've axed more skills... Can anyone post some info on how attributes are handled. From what little I've read it almost seems like they've removed them altogether, as you apparently just get to mess with Health and Magicka stuff at level up.

Also, this news about killing a quest giver results in a relative offering you the exact same quests, but for lower rewards or something. [censored]. This is like Fable level "consequence" for your actions. " I would have totally given you a hundred bucks for this job, but since you murdered my brother in his sleep... only fifty for you!"

No, Todd, it really isn't. If you don't like the name, change the name. But don't pretend like one school is any more redundant than the others.

Hopefully the mysticism spells have simply been merged with other schools. I'll admit it was mostly useless. But here's hoping attributes are still in.

Okay, I've seen the screens... I nerdgasmed.

Looks awesome so far Bethesda!
I just hope it won't be like Gothic 3, unfinished and unpolished. :glare:

The only thing I'm disappointed about is no shots of how all the races look now.

I have a feeling that you might get the ability to call a dragon from a single command and he will aid you in combat!

The article doesn't appear to mention modding features. Would some dev be willing to say if there'll be a TES construction kit?

Graphics look solid, but incomplete. No mention of interiors, cities, or etc. No it's not all snow.
Elven armor from Oblivion is returning.
Your are "Dragonborn" which just means dragon hunter. Apparently you gotta collect other dragon hunters and stop the big bad world eater.
Dual wielding, as everyone mentioned, is indeed in.
They got rid of mysticsym, no big loss there as all the important effects are moved around to other skills.
Alchemy and Enchanting are back
No mention of what happened to stats. They seem intentionally vague there, I hope their back.
No mention of the other two missing skills. I'm guessing mercantile is merged into speech and acrobatics/athletics are merged, just a guess though.
You don't choose primary skills at all. Instead you just up your skills in the normal way. But as you get your skills higher they contribute more to levelling up. So jack of all trades players will be a lower level than specialized.

Overall, a lot of info, and a lot missing. Most of it is composed of a few large screenshots and in reality there's maybe three pages worth of info.

Good to hear about the improved faces and crafting. I'm particularly interested in smithing and repairing my own weapons and armour.

Yeah, just reading.

It seems you can't actually "shape your own weapon" - or atleast I don't think that's the point. However you'll be able to craft, say, a steel sword. and this will cost you X amount of materials. So like the usual blacksmithing.

Also. You'll be rampaging the countryside slaying dragons, or so it seems. And you'll absorb their souls in the process of their death. That way you can use "Dragon shouts" that seem to have special effects of some kind.. they're not very precise, but thats the general idea. (Hope I wont be banned for sharing this, btw)

It said somewhere that fast travel is still here.
Does it say anything else about a traveling system? Is there another possibility to travel (like in Morrowind) or is it only fast travel?

And... still no news about dynamic shadows? :(

Yep, fast travel is still their, A new mob is added too: Mountain Giant, looks pretty big. AND OH MY GOD. THE FACES LOOK AMAZING !

Quote :Faces have been dramatically overhauled. Characters now exhibit more emotion show of distinctions between different races and just plain looks better.

Checking more for the dynamic shadows thingie,
It sure looks dynamic though.

Doubt it. It says that dragons are your enemy, and you will fight them often.

No they dident, there is an example for AI where he says something about if you decide to drop some big two handed sword someone may pick it up and return it, two guys may fight over it, etc. So there is still two handed weapons

Damn you got it fast! O__O Lucky I hope mine gets here before the 19th :)

So i take it it shows screen shots? Any info about werewolves in it or hints about them? *crosses fingers*

No doubt they've been merged, my problem is with the idea of needlessly condensing skills. I mean, if we are consolidating the magical schools, why not throw Illusion and Restoration in to Alteration?
