Got my Xbox today! :ahhh:    :shocking: :celebration:

... but having an HDTV, after doing some research, I realized that I couldn't even play it! :meh:

My cables will be here in a few days, but I was REALLY looking forward to playing Morrowind today for the first time in 5 years, lol.

Oh my, indeed, good sir! :tes:

I got it today, turned it on, and opened the disc tray... There was a game inside. :o

Not a great game, lol, 'Tetris Worlds' it was called. I emailed the person on eBay whom from I got the Xbox. They said it was their son's game, but he didn't want it anymore, so she said 'it was a bonus'. Lol, awesome, though I'll probably never play it.

Sounds like someone got a souvenir simply for ordering an xbox to play one of the best games of all the time lol

Sort of surprised you can post to the internet but can't run MW on your computer~

Interestingly, most HDTVs have VGA ports on the back these days, making them nicely compatible with any laptop that has a VGA out and any person that has a VGA cable to put between the two. I am telling you this for when you start your xbox finally after getting the component cables and you find that the game is rather blurry/pixelated; not the way it used to be on your old CRT, but because of the higher pixel count on your new TV and the low resolution the game plays at.

Yeah, that's to be expected. Same way on my PS2, but graphics have never been most important to me. I mean, take Metal Gear Solid 1, VERY pixelated, but it's my all time favorite game... for the story! ^_^ MGS

Just remember (if this is an Xbox 360) in order to play Morrowind you need to download a patch by connecting to Xbox Live and then clicking play on Morrowind. This will download the backwards compatibility patch which will enable you to play the game (as well as Goty version of the game) on and offline.
