Hello, my apologies in advance for a possible report, I recently upgraded my computer from XP to WIN 7 (32) via Vista upgrades. Everything seemed to go well and I saw no issues with my Steam loaded games. That is until I went to run Fallout 3 GOTY. When I started the game opened a dialog "Fallout 3 will now detect you video settings". The game cycles, reports that it has made a setting and then repeats the process. I have seen the various issues recommending verifying the integrity of one's game files, running in compatability mode, running as an admin, etc. I have tried all of these without success. Same issue for a fresh load of FO3:NV
I bought and loaded via another Steam account on my adjacent Win 7 (64) machine and Fallout 3 seemed to run fine. Naturally, I would like the original machine to run my games. I have sent a variety of requests for help to Bethesda Tech Support, to which althoguh they claim a 48 hour response, your time may vary (mine is no response).
I did see one claim from Rational Hatter in which he reestablished the paths to his folders. Any help would be welcome.
