Hello all,

ive been try to sift through the many different topics to solve my problem, but nothing seems to solve it. Whenever i attempt to engage super mutants (especially in the dc ruins area, GNR building, Jefferson Monument, etc.) the game freezes, and requires me to open the task manager, kill the task, so on and so forth.

Im at a loss on this one, so any help is appriciated, also, here are my computer specs,

Intel core i-5-3470 cpu @ 3.20GHz

16.00GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

windows 7 home premium 64-bit SP1

Having you tried the ini change that limits your CPU to use only 2 cores? The Fallout games don't like anything more than that. If you look at the sticky here, http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1465357-installing-fallout-3-with-windows-78-and-xp/. you'll find out how to go about it.

i also just set it to use only two cores, and no luck its still crashing, although now i am trying to escort doctor li through the tunnels to escape the enclave, and is crashing while trying to defeat the enclave solders, so i guess its just combat in general? i have not had issues while roaming the desolate part of the capital wasteland. never had issues while fighting raiders as far as i remember.
