GOTY Edition - Vampire Cure : IV

I have just started playing Oblivion with the US GOTY edition. Obviously it is well known out there of the bug that does not allow you to give Bloodgrass to Melissande. Unfortunately I cannot change the language because it is a US edition (or more aptly, Canadian) so that does not work. I also do not know anybody who has an original copy so I can't throw in that one and complete it that way. Please, I hate being a vampire! What do I do?

There have been problems with the witch not accepting Bloodgrass. The "Bloodgrass" topic will effectively disappear when you complete the main quest. You can solve it by reloading a previous save, or typing set MS40.cureready to 1 in the console. This will cause a new topic to appear and allows you to complete the quest properly.
Note: This has been corrected by the Oblivion 1.1.511 patch.

Otherwise, you will have to restart the game from another save file. Don't wait for a patch its not going to happen.

Hehe. Sorry for posting console commands then.

I believe this issue is related to Shivering Isles, since it got patched a while ago on the PS3.

The only fixes I know about is changing the system language and disc-swapping, so I'm sorry.

It's ok, I should have specified! The system language only works with the UK disk, not North American. I'm going to see if I can find somebody with an original copy, not the special edition.
