GOTY or not? : V

Do you think Skyrim will win GOTY's this year? I mean, if you think about it, there is a quite a big competition this year. Batman, Battlefield, Assassins Creed, Uncharted, Bioshock and so on.

Game of the Year Edition now eludes to the main game including all DLC/Expansions available in one complete package. Or did you mean awards? I prefer the first as retail obviously.

Anyway, there is absolutely no chance that Skyrim will not win any of the 50+ GOTY awards handed out by various people/sites/avenues. It will win at least one GOTY, there is no question about it.

So yes, Skyrim will win GOTY and there will be a GOTY edition.

They have gotten a GoTY for Morrowind, Oblivion, And Fallout 3, i don't expect much less from Bethesda.

they really should have an "official" game of the year. as many people have pointed out every magazine, website and blogger has a GOTY award. tis going to win at least some of them. as for the best game overall ill let you know after i finish deus ex which unlocks tonight at midnight. :celebration: if its as good as the first couple of levels though i wouldnt count on skyrim winning hands down.

you forgot minecraft, but yeah it will.

but so will a hundred other games. there really isn't a one goty award every one and their guar has a goty award they hand out. even yahoo games has an award.

the one award that actually matters though is the peer reviewed one, where all the game developers get together and vote which was the most significant game of the year. and when Morrowind and Oblivion put out goty edditions it was that award that they meant, as opposed to the yahoo games goty award... although Oblivion won that one as well as I recall.

I don't care what the game of the year is, as long as it isn't Call of Duty. If it was up to me, I'd probably have the first Bioshock be game of the year again.
