Hello, so I'm not sure how often these boards get looked at with NV out and all, but I was curious as to how you get the Platinum trophy in the GOTY edition of Fallout 3. the description for it says; "get all other 50 trophies to get this one", but with the DLC there is over 50... do I just need to complete the "base game" trophies to get the platinum? or complete all of them? thanks.

As with all PS3 games the Platinum is earned by obtaining all the other base trophies. If it were reversed I'd be welled and truly buggered. :shakehead:

Just get the first 50. Not the DLC related ones.

Thats what I thought, I was just wondering if anyone knows from experience if you need all the trophies. I'm one trophy away otherwise, but if the DLC ones count, then probably 5 or 6. And I am not collecting all the steel ingots.

I just Plat'd it. So for those curious; yes, you can get the Platinum Trophy by completing the base game trophies.

Sorry dude, but in no game are the DLC trophies required for the platinum, soo it's no exception here. GOTY or no.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it mattered that it was the GOTY edition or not. I thought maybe because the trophies were already on there I'd have to do all of them. I just really didn't feel like collecting all 100 steel ingots. I hate that trophy... and the alien captive recordings. I somehow miss a random recording every time.

In DA:O, the first few DLC's took away the Platinum and it had to be earned again. I noticed it didn't reoccur with the last couple, so maybe it wasn't intended and got corrected.
