Among a few other things, I lost my copy of Oblivion GOTY during a move across the country. I do not wish to purchase the game again as it ran poorly on my machine, and I dont have the funds to buy a better gaming rig right now. I attempted to uninstall the game using the add/remove programs feature of Windows to free up the 12 GB of space it's taking on my hard drive, but it tells me that I need a CD in order to uninstall it.

I would like to have this removed from my computer, including the registry entries and anything else that the game may have installed.

You can always remove it manually, have a look at the uninstall guide http://www.gamesas.com/topic/561101-unofficial-technical-faq/page__view__findpost__p__8103714 for instructions.

As Falchya mentioned you can just remove it manually -- you mainly just need steps 5 - 9 of the tutorial linked (since you already tried the uninstaller and do not plan to reinstall the first 4 steps are not needed). And truthfully just doing steps 8 and 9 will free up the disk space and just leave a couple things in the registry that will not cause problems ( so if you feel uncomfortable using Regedit they can be skipped without much harm - just leaves a couple entries in the registry that will go unused and will only be a problem if\when you rebuy the game and want to install since the system will think it is still installed (but at that point you could remove them by running the setup file and uninstalling prior to installing the game !)
