GOTY wont read saves

Post » Wed Oct 21, 2009 1:39 pm

So the community here finally convinced me to get GOTY edition and I am pretty excited, it arrived today and I place it in the drive very eager to travel around Mournhold then I get to the main menu and am very excited!!

I slowly press start and move down to the Load option and press A

Then the pop up comes up for loading AND!!!!!!!

WTF I shout out in anger at the Nine Devines when it says no Load options....

So my question is where did my saves go? Why can I not load them from my Morrowind non GOTY to my brand new Morrowind GOTY edition game?

I am playing Xbox 360.

Please help as I am very just...crushed....

It has been a long while since I did this. Is there an option to convert them? I know this had to be done in the old Xbox, where you had to convert your regular Morrowind to GotY Morrowind.

Converting an old Save to a GOTY Save should happen automatically.
The game will go through a process of updating your Journal, and then it will load normally.

Perhaps this has changed with the 360 version, although I was sure it was the same as original XBox.

i think i said this in another thread, the 360 version won't play saves between goty and non goty, on the orginal xbox you could but not the 360. Sorry, i know i was pissed when my neraverine from the original couldn't go to mournhold in the goty

:( Oh well........Guess I have to start my character over again....sad.

Thank you for at least posting back everybody...and I am glad I got the GOTY edition before my character was to good :D
That is the bright side eh!

All ways look at the bright side of life :D :whistling:

Also now I can start my character and read all the books I can!!

I recently read the Unnamed Book It is outstanding and that has officially turned me on to reading the books in game :D I love reading but for some reason I never read any of the books...just looked at them either for skill or value.

I love the Unnamed Book. You won't regret getting into the habit of reading books. Many of them are great! :read:

:D I am loving my new character!! He is based off of the Aiel in Wheel of Time (which is oddly similar to the Ashlanders....I believe Bethesda got some inspiration from the series)!!!

And yes I am loving reading more of the books! Any recommendations?
And also do you know if there are any books similar to the Unnamed Books?
