GRA and LR at the same time

Post » Sun Sep 11, 2011 11:22 am

I hope this hasn't been talked about already, but why is GRA being released a week after LR. I would personally love to have the GRA when I go through LR. Maybe someone has read something or maybe the devs don't want you to have any additional help going through LR, or at least until a week later when most people have played through it.

If they did that, sales for GRA would plummet because LR would be the most bought

Think I'll wait a day after LR release to see first reactions as I'm afraid LR will disappoint me. If the reactions to LR are bad, I'll just grab GRA.

I'll get both: the guns are getting stale, and so is the story. I need a challenge that won't repeatedly kill me like OWB.

I'd assume its because GRA was in development later than LR and LR has been finished so why hold LR back another week, I don't think a simultaneous release would really hur sales since you could just pick up both its only what 7 dollars a week isn't going to change how many people but it if anything thing I'd think people would pick up both and bring GRA weapons to LR.

Im just gonna wait until GRA is released before I play Lonesome Road, I'll probably still go ahead and buy LR the day it comes out so I can be playing around with all the new perks that it adds but I won't actually start the dlc until after I get GRA and mess around with some of the new weapons so I can decide which ones I like the most and want to take with me.

i wish they put GRA into enemy/npc loot pool, woulda made the game a bit more refreshing maybe even a bit more challenging, ow wells.

off topic, trying to complete a full FO3 run with xpansions then do a full FONV run with expansions after LR comes out.....ya i forgot how freaking big the game was with no fast travel lol

Why is the an issue? Be happy you're even getting more content after LR which was supposed to be the last content for the game.

the only issue is with the many guns that are out right now, pretty much ur demi-god mode after like lvl 2oish, just be nice to have the same weapons used against ya. add new feeling of combat/difficulty. but i mean hey, alot of people are excited for it, thats kool hell its yals money. maybe the timing on it coming out is wrong but after the LR comes out, lol i dunno i think i would have rather seen some vanilla area quests packs, rather than just another weapon to rolffacepwn the npcs of the game.

Very unwise.

Once the DLCs are done most people may be doen with FONV.

Should have released the GRA right now and then LR.

It makes sense sales wise to stagger the releases, but personally I would have picked 9/13 for the GRA and CS packs and 9/20 for the LR DLC. ;)

Oh well... =p

ummm only new content they are releasing is Lonesome road. A bunch of weapons isn't content.

Personally see no reason to buy the extra stuff. With everything this player base has been through from the beginning that stuff should of been free anyway, either that or already in one of the DLC. Which I suspect it was and they removed it just to squeeze more money out of the people they knew would buy it.

Here is my plan, use my generic character one last time in playing lonesome road then finally finish up his playthorugh. Second part, play my new DiD character I am about to play for a while. Third part create another generic character to replay the whole game with GRA and DM and HH and OWB and LR.

@ smokin aces - the canteen doesn't help that much it is much easier to just carry water.
