According to the challenge description one of the allowed weapons to take out advlt deathclaws for this challenge is the recharger rifle. However when I took this weapon to the deathclaw promontory and (finally) managed to take several of them down the challenge didn't recognize it.
Is there another ranged weapon (other than the .22) I can use?

Update: it appears the silenced .22 doesn't work either
