Grabbing/Moving Items/bodies

Why take out a function which helps my decoration and supplies loads of fun dragging bodies and lobbing melons off of cliffs?

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Well Dragon Shout is different system not like spells or powers (or more like scripted powers), power uses cast spell button again I believe, if still present in Skyrim with classical mechanic.

I really hope there is a system that enables you to pick up or drag enemy bodies. It would be an excellent addition to the stealth system!

how about object that are context sensitive? like big boulders, boxes or pillars?

it would be a good way to diversify dungeon puzzles, or even using them as weapons, for example:

pushing a big boulder off a cliff to hit a mammoth below or something to that effect.

We've been able to grab and manipulate objects in MW, OB, FO3, and FO:NV. I see no reason to think that we won't be able to in Skyrim.

To add to this, IDK how well developed it was in Morrowind, since when you go from Oblivion to Morrowind and find that dice rolls are factored into hit chance, you conclude that it kinda svcks (I'm not talking about the game in general, just that one mechanic, and if you disagree with me, I really don't care). Oblivion had pretty good manipulation of items, abate the fact that the collision detection in the meshes were kind of simplified (which is why katanas could roll) and bodies were really glitchy when it came to manipulating them. Fallout 3 improved on it and made the collision detection in the items meshes much more realistic and pretty much fixed moving bodies around. New Vegas improved on the bodies even further by adding in mechanics (where you would function as being over-encumbered when moving the body) as well as fine-tuning the movement of bodies in general. There was even a sub quest where you had to retrieve a ranger's body and carry it to a safe location.

I'm expecting them to define it even further this time around.

i would love this, it'd be just like splinter cell!
as a stealthy character in a dungeon take out your targets, move them to a very dark area so that nobody would find the bodies, and then proceed to clear the dungeon :D
now, if they also added a whistle function like in splinter cell... mass humanoids would get stealth killed easily :D

Dragonshouts are RB not R3. The grab feature should still be in. I don't see how they could remove it.

I'm pretty sure we can change it though, as we could in both OB and Fo3.

I sure hope grabbing things works more like fallout as it was a lot easier to move them around that way. And moving bodies should beimportant if you are infiltrating a fort in secret and must kill someone, drag the body into a barrel and put his shield on top of it.. No one notices :ninja:

Couldn't you? Hmm, it's been so long, was that only added in OB? :blush2:

Yea, it started with OB. In MW sometimes items would just float in the air when you drop them. And bodies would go through walls.
