[Relz] Grain Silo Home

Post » Tue Jan 04, 2011 6:05 pm

was originally something I did for a buddy, but releasing to all now

Basics:
This module turns the grain silo at the farm between Megaton and the Super Duper Mart into a home.

The silo's exterior is modded some with a railed catwalk around the top, and that's pretty much it for exterior changes.

The interior was designed around what would fit through the door, and what someone would drag into it to use. Mostly Containers and useful items for living in the wasteland.

Features:
* Bed (standard, no rest bonus)
* Workbench
* 10 Non-Respawning Containers (unique ids for all of them)[2 on walkway]
* Radio (GNR) [Working on channel picking scripts]
* Working lamps (can turn on/off)
* Map Marker (initially disabled till discovered... for a reason)
* Full Navmesh of balcony and interor, with default human idle marker inside

Installation:
1- Unzip the esm into your fallout data folder, activate it with the launcher
2- Use Fallout mod manager and install the package from there (preferred)

Questions/Comments/Donations:
Email mortvent@gmail.com and I'll try to get back to you as soon as life allows.
And just kidding on the donation part!!!

Spoliers in the included readme (includes complete list of all items inside the home and condition of armor/weapons)

Only things possibly in the works are bug fixes, working out a way to change radio stations... and that's about it.

Ack: forgot to mention it only requires Fallout 3 to be installed, no DLC assets used.

Should have a 1.5 release this weekend maybe... with radio station selections (got to get the scripts and all done... plus deal with works and all).

Plus any bug fixes that crop up (though none seem needed so far)

I've got the first version. Will look to update it shortly.

You've done a great job, well done. My only quibble would be it's to well stocked with stuff. Maybe you could add an NPC living (or maybe dead) there already to explain that or alternately strip all the ammo, med supplies etc... No biggie tho, as I say it's your mod so do what you like, it'll stay in my load order.

Cheers
