Grand Soul Gem Question

Post » Tue Jul 05, 2011 4:04 am

Posted here in case the answer is a spoiler!!

I have a Grand Soul Gem in my inventory - (nothing unusual about that) - except in brackets after it it says "Ogrim"...
Is there a reason for this? I've not come across it before and whilst I know what an Ogrim is I can't see any specific quests involving an Ogrim and a Grand Soul Gem.

I have been getting something strange with some quest items where they are not being removed from my inventory and are being suffixed by a code presumably for the quest they are for, but this actually says - "Grand Soul Gem (Ogrim)"

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Phon

The Grand Soul Gem is filled by the soul of an Ogrim. Whenever you see a soul gem with something in parenthesis afterward, it indicates that it is filled.

You can now take that soul gem to an enchanter and enchant something yourself. I have plenty of suggestions, or you can read here:

(may spoil some of the fun for you though)

Ah right!
Well fair enough then.
It's curious though because I've never actually captured a soul and I'm not even sure that I've even met an Ogrim whose soul I could capture...
...still, should look a gift horse in the mouth I guess!! :)

Thank you.

EDIT: Just realised, I picked it up as booty... Duh.
