Uhh Welcome to the forums I guess. I wish your original post was a little more formal.

Now, vehicles. Its a waste of time in the current system. The map would have to be bigger and Fast travel would have to take a backseat (I think). It would take a lot of time to make it and I don't think many people would use it if Fast Travel was as accessible as it is now. As in, only being able to fast travel between towns would be a step in the right direction.

It didn't take a back seat before; I don't see any reason it couldn't work both as similar to Halo (or GTA really), and in the exact same way it worked in Fallout 2.

I would suggest [in both cases] that towns be setup to refuse vehicular entry, and limit cars to staying parked outside; and mainly use them in the open wastelands.

Personally, I would have the cars work as rolling weapons; Best example of this would be Brutal Legend. The car could almost be the next step up in power armor.
*But that's not to say that it should make you invulnerable: http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/bad_idea.jpg

They'd just have to make sure that this doesn't happen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rYo9vnVcww

The amount of work required to make a car in Fallout 4 (for example) and Fallout 2 would be and are vastly different. It would take such a long time for Fallout 4 while in fallout 2 its quite quite easy to make.

It can't be that hard, I've done it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7nxZUeAe0w

(And I'm not the only one. That was a hobby project [with hobbyist results of course]; but they have full access to the source code and actually know the engine.)

There are driving games done with Gamebryo.

The AI would have to have a state that recognizes that the PC is in a car. That's to restrict melee attacks by humans; Behemoths and Deathclaws could be allowed to tear it apart though... and wouldn't that be cool to see.

Were ya the one with the golf cart sig (mod)?

I still just feel like it would take a lot of time. GTA driving mechanics are pretty good. My view on the matter comes from me just playing similar-ish games and I found that the driving mechanics just aren't the same polish. I guess bethesda could create a driving mechanic, though I wouldn't say it'd be on par with GTA.

Another large obstacle would be world-design. Every area would have to keep vehicles in mind (which isn't bad), it just can limit world variety.

Also. Was looking at a list of games using gamebryo on wiki. Haven't really found any game with driving in it except a game named 'drive city'.

Probably. (I've not seen any others besides mine.)

These could help a lot: :chaos: http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/street_pylon_zps50af3dfc.gif?t=1402207812

I'm not opposed to vehicles in general, however, I want it limited to 1-2 usable cars (The rest are just well textured set pieces for things like, say, vertibirds or NCR army trucks. Also, if your car runs out of power, it stays where it is until you get more MF Cells and if it's driven into a river or blown up, it's gone for good in that playthrough. Anything less cheapens the value of a functioning vehicle in the Wastes.
