Graphci Cards

Post » Tue Oct 21, 2008 11:06 pm

I'm Buying a DX11 graphic card in the next months, and a 3d monitor (Samsuns Syncmaster 2233rz), I have a 700W OCZ Fatal1ty PSU, a Phenom II X4 945, and I'm in doubt between the GTX470 or wait a month and buy a GTX480, In Brazil the GTX470 costs US$600 and the 480 costs US$850 (it's look expensive, but these are the cheapest prices in Rio), Do you think it worths paying a "bit" more, or should I Buy the 470?

for an 22" the gtx 470 have enough power... but atm i woudlnt buy one of the nvidias... wait for the new Radeon HD 6870 which arent tesselation cripple.... they come out the end of the year and its a better option then a loud, hot graphic card from nvidia

I'm getting a Nvidia card because of the 3D, many people don't like, but I love it

English version XD

I have that monitor and it's awesome!. The 120hz help alot. About nvidia i'm going to wait till next year to see if they launch something better than the current 480 and if not, 480 it is, but till then the prices will drop.

I can tell you I just built this new rig, picked up a ati 5850 toxic edition and I'm running BFBC2 at max everything with 100 fps on 60Hz. That card runs about US$430 and the cooler is the next best thing to a water cooled system.

you dont need nvidia for the 3D in crysis 2, you realize that right? only for other games. and its not worth it as others have pointed out. if you live in Rio you should really be looking out for how hot your graphics card gets and nvidias currently have a problem with that. theyre already too loud normally, you will barely be able to enjoy games when those beasts try to adapt to your climate :-D
seriously though, nvidias are NO option in this generation, theyre more expensive, louder and consume more power.

Here is hot but I never use PC in 40°C, my room rarely is above 25, normally is 22. If I have the 120hz monitor, and the game, how can I play in 3d? There is other company that make 3d glasses for pcs besides Nvidia? (I'll not buy a 3DTV it's too expensive).
and Kuro if I order things online I will have to pay the mail and the taxes, and the taxes are around 100, 150% (Yeah it svcks)
