Graphic comapirison question

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:40 am

I just bought Fallout 3 online and am anxiously awaiting it's arival. I'm confident that my computer can run it but I'm curious as to exactly how well it can run it. Every body here refers to all kinds of computer-y terminology. I accepted the fact that I know very little about computers long ago so I'm going to ask a very simple question that I hope will allow people to give me the answer I'm looking for. Here it is:

How to fallout 3's graphics compair to Oblivion's? Are they:
A. Better
B. Worse
C. About the same

It would be helpful if you could elaborate a little bit as well. Tell me more or less how much better or worse it is. The criteria here would probalby be both meshe quality and Texture quality. Please try to remember that I am illiterate in all but the most basic of computer terminology and a few random words (like mesh and texture.) I would apreciate it if you could keep your language at my grade level.

And before you ask, I did look at screenshots but frankly It's hard to tell the difffence considering that all official screenshots are at the absolute peak of peformance quality (Which I undoubtedly will NOT be able to manage) and all home-made screens are of varying (Mostly still high) qualities.

Thank in advance.

It's about the same, but better optimised, ie. a weaker computer can run it. Thing is, oblivion has nice scenery, fallout doesn't. Depends wot you mean by graphics. Technically Bethesda is at a real standstill, the animations in New Vegas look just as bad as Morrowind's.

The graphics do look a bit better. The game also does require a better computer than what was required to run Oblivion. Since you seem very computer illiterate, I wonder if your PC can even run the game. Just because it ran Oblivion doesn't automatically mean it will run this game. If you truly want to know how well or even if you can run this game, post a dxdiag:

Start - Run (if Vista or Win 7, the search box acts like Run) - type dxdiag - hit Enter - "save all info" button - open txt file and copy/paste EVERYTHING here
