Graphic Preset

Post » Sat Oct 16, 2010 5:01 am

I installed oblivion fine and dandy, but it doesn't recognize my video card (rightfully so) and forces my settings to medium. This wouldn't be a problem however the graphical presets on the launcher aren't there (possibly due to this). Is there any way to forcefully change the graphic settings for oblivion? I'd like to change it to ultra-high. I have GOTY edition.

System:
Vid: Nvidia GTX 460

Just use the in-game options menu. You could also edit the the oblivion.ini, but don't mess with that unless you know what your doing.

I don't believe you can get the same level of editing. For instance ultra-low looks like morrowind, and ultra-high looks pretty. However I could be wrong, I'll fiddle with them some more though.

Here's what it looks like all maxed out through the in-game menu

I swear to you ultra-high is prettier and that saddens me :(
